Al Roker’s Son Graduates: Proud Dad Reacts

For Al Roker, this week’s forecast is sunny with a side of celebration. 

Recently, the weathercaster has expressed a heartfelt tribute towards his one and only son, Nick Roker, aged 22, who successfully completed his education at Landmark College this past month.

Three years ago, we sent him on his college journey as a freshman, the 70-year-old wrote in a May 18 Instagram post. The picture showed his son visiting the Vermont school. Today, @nickroker155 has earned an Associate’s Degree in Communications, and we couldn’t be more proud of his dedication and ambition to pursue his Bachelor’s Degree as well.

Apart from Al, Deborah Roberts – who is 64 years old – also posted a picture of herself, beaming with pride as they celebrated their son’s graduation. Later on, the esteemed ABC News journalist acknowledged Nick’s achievement on her personal Instagram account, praising his “unyielding enthusiasm, determination, and bravery” in earning his first degree.

This achievement was earned through great effort! Deborah, who is also the mother of Leila Roker, 26, with the longtime meteorologist, expressed this on the photo carousel. “I am incredibly proud of you @nickroker155 and your fellow graduates. You all demonstrate that neurodiversity is something to be respected and appreciated.

Furthermore, many friends from the Roker family also became part of the festivities. Robin Roberts from Good Morning America commented, “Congratulations Nick, I’m so proud of you!”, while Octavia Spencer expressed her joy with a straightforward “Yes!” for the new graduate.

In this instance, Al (who is also known as Courtney Roker Laga’s father) has shared insights about Nick’s academic path before, especially when Nick rejoined campus in August following a summer spent at home. This is not the first time he has done so.

He posted on Instagram this afternoon, “I dropped Nick off today,” along with some photos of them both working on redecorating his son’s dorm room. It’s hard to accept that he’s now a college junior, making the house feel a bit too quiet.

As a devoted admirer, I’m thrilled to share that the youngest son of Al Roker and Deborar Roberts has accomplished an impressive milestone. After devoting three years of his life to higher education, he has successfully earned his associate’s degree in Communications.

On Instagram May 17th, the weatherman expressed nothing but pride as he acknowledged how diligently he’s working and his unwavering dedication towards earning his bachelor’s degree. Keep up the fantastic work, young man!

 

In May, the eldest son of “Scrubs” creator Bill Lawrence and actress Christa Miller graduated from New York University.

In her Instagram post, Christa expressed, “I’m bursting with pride!” as she shared a family picture featuring their son Henry Lawrence. She went on to say, “Truthfully, I felt quite overwhelmed and extremely excited. I couldn’t be more proud of you, Will.

It seems like a lot of children of famous people are graduating lately. For example, the son of Jerry Seinfeld and Jessica Seinfeld has recently graduated from Duke University.

Jessica posted on Instagram May 12, reflecting on the past four remarkable years that offered trials, chances, and victories, each molding Julian for what’s ahead. As this stage ends, another starts as he becomes part of the Duke University alumni group.

On May 11th, Toni Braxton’s youngest child also demonstrated the Braxton family values by graduating from Howard University.

Toni, co-parenting with Keri Lewis, expressed her joy on Instagram over receiving an outstanding Mother’s Day gift from their son Diezel. She wrote, “I couldn’t be prouder of you @diezel.braxton and I can hardly wait to witness all the fantastic feats you’ll achieve! You did it!

Guy Fieri’s eldest son recently graduated with an MBA from the University of Miami, adding another degree holder to the flavors of Flavortown.

In an Instagram post dated May 8th, the Food Network celebrity, partnered with Lori Fieri, expressed his pride in their hard work and determination leading to success. He wrote: “Road to triumph! So incredibly proud of your journey!

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos‘ youngest child graduated from University of Michigan in early May.

Back from a remarkable journey in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where I had the immense pride of witnessing my final child, the incredible Lola Consuelos, gracefully complete her university education.
