By the end of 2024, Alan Wake 2 by Remedy Entertainment had already surpassed sales of two million copies, as shared in their Q3 financial report for fiscal year 2025. This indicates that the survival horror game has started earning royalties.
The project has managed to cover all its development and marketing expenses (initially spent) – a better situation than in August 2024 when it only recovered “most” of these costs. In total, Remedy’s revenue for this quarter increased by 13.1%, amounting to €11.7 million, which is an improvement from the €10.3 million earned during the same period last year.
The sequel to “Alan Wake,” titled “Alan Wake 2,” is now playable on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and personal computers. To read our review for the original game, click here. Additionally, it features two narrative expansions: “Night Springs” and “The Lake House“.
In the end, they hinted at some intriguing possibilities for the upcoming action RPG titled “Control 2“, which Remedy has indeed verified. Unfortunately, there’s no announced release date yet, but production will commence in full this month. For further information, click here.
