Alien: Earth Teaser and Logline Officially Released

As a lifelong fan of the Alien franchise, I’ve been eagerly awaiting the next chapter in this terrifying saga, and with the announcement of Alien: Earth, my excitement has reached new heights! From the teaser trailer to the impressive cast list, it’s clear that this series is going to be something truly special.

Over the past few weeks, Alien enthusiasts have had a thrilling time! Not only did we get the theater release of Alien: Romulus, but those who caught that movie in theaters got a sneak peek at the upcoming TV show, Alien: Earth. This tantalizing teaser was made available online today. Moreover, while bits and pieces about the upcoming series have been leaked over time, FX has also unveiled the logline for the new show, giving us a hint of how it fits into the larger Alien universe. You can watch the first teaser for Alien: Earth below before it hits Hulu in 2025.

In the upcoming TV show “Alien: Earth,” created by Noah Hawley, we follow a young woman named Sydney Chandler and a team of soldiers who stumble upon a strange spacecraft that has crash-landed on our planet. The discovery sets them against Earth’s most dangerous enemy, an ominous threat they must face head-on.

The show “Lead” is led by Chandler and boasts a diverse global cast featuring talents such as Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, David Rysdahl, Adrian Edmondson, Adarsh Gourav, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diem Camille, and Moe Bar-El.

The “Alien” series began in 1979, and the ninth live-action movie in the franchise, titled “Alien: Romulus,” was released. This collection of films also includes two crossover productions with the “Predator” series. Throughout the years, the series has expanded into comic books, video games, and action figures. However, “Alien: Earth” represents the first television series set within this popular science fiction universe, making it a new medium for the “Alien” franchise. Additionally, the title of the show suggests that it will offer the first significant storyline taking place on Earth, opening up fresh narrative possibilities.

A few days ago, the creator, Hawley, shared some news about the ongoing project, hinting at a unique treat for long-term enthusiasts.

Hawley shared with The Hollywood Reporter that he has completed filming, “I’m now in post-production, busy editing. There’s a substantial visual effects aspect that requires time, but I couldn’t be more pleased with the series we’ve filmed. For those who yearned for a TV show set in the world of ‘Alien’, I believe I’ll deliver something unique and worthwhile.”

Regarding the potential duration of the series, Hawley hinted, “For certain, it might consume the next decade of my life.”

Stay tuned for updates on Alien: Earth before it lands on Hulu in 2025.
