As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for survival horror games, I can hardly contain my excitement at the news of a sequel to Alien: Isolation! Over a decade has passed since the original game graced our screens, leaving us all on the edge of our seats with its pulse-pounding suspense and nail-biting gameplay.
After more than a decade since the initial launch and numerous pleas for a follow-up, I, as an eager fan, am thrilled to share that Creative Assembly has finally confirmed the development of Alien: Isolation’s sequel!
Looking back at our first game, which was a cherished dream turned reality thanks to an outstanding team, creative director Al Hope acknowledged hearing your concerns. The studio is now working on a sequel, still in its early stages. We’ll share more information once the team is prepared to do so.
In October 2014, the video game titled “Alien: Isolation” was released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC. This game is set 15 years after the original film and follows Amanda Ripley as she embarks on a mission to find her mother on the Sevastopol station. However, her journey takes an ominous turn when she encounters a cunning Xenomorph that persistently chases her. Unlike other adversaries, this creature cannot be eliminated; instead, evasion and stealth become Amanda’s only means of survival.
The game titled Alien: Isolation was met with generally favorable feedback upon its release, eventually selling more than two million units by May 2015. For a comprehensive look at this title, be sure to read our detailed review.
