Now, some exciting news about “Alien: Resurrection 2” from the director hints that it may be closer than we imagine, as 20th Century Studios has officially approved the project.
Together with co-writer Rodo Sayagues, he has been developing a script for quite some time now. This hints at fans that a sequel is on its way, focusing on Cailee Spaeny’s character Rain and David Jonsson’s character Andy from the original film. He expresses his excitement about taking these characters to uncharted territories in the Alien franchise, revealing secrets and scenes never seen before.
As for the upcoming project, I’ve publicly stated that I believe the sequel will be my next venture. Regarding when we might begin filming, it’s an intriguing query. Fingers crossed, I’m hoping to start shooting it this very year.
