As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the latest review by ComicBook Nation on Alien: Romulus has left me somewhat disillusioned. Kofi Outlaw’s critique resonates deeply with me, as I too find myself yearning for fresh, innovative storytelling rather than a nostalgia trip down memory lane. It seems that the Alien franchise, much like an aging spacecraft, is struggling to maintain its original shine.

Alien: Romulus Review
Host Kofi Outlaw of ComicBook Nation wasn’t particularly fond of how heavily Alien: Romulus leaned on franchise nostalgia; he rated it 2.5 out of 5 stars in his assessment.
The movie “Alien: Romulus” was anticipated as a significant leap for the franchise, but unfortunately, it feels more like a lengthy retrospect rather than progression. It seems Ridley Scott might be the sole individual who truly grasps the essence that makes “Alien” a timeless horror masterpiece, and perhaps the only one capable of steering the series in a forward direction.
