As a longtime cinema devotee with a deep appreciation for the Alien franchise, I can hardly contain my excitement upon witnessing the latest and final trailer for Alien: Romulus. The prospect of Ridley Scott rejoining forces with director Fede Alvarez to revitalize this iconic sci-fi/horror series is truly awe-inspiring.
As a longtime fan of the “Alien” franchise, I’m absolutely thrilled about the latest and final trailer for the upcoming film “Alien: The Last Night.” Having grown up with Ridley Scott’s original masterpiece, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia and anticipation with each new development in this iconic series. Fede Alvarez, the director and writer, has proven himself to be a talented storyteller with his previous works, making me confident that he will deliver a terrifying cinematic experience that takes us back to the roots of this beloved franchise. The sci-fi/horror-thriller promises to leave audiences on the edge of their seats, and I for one can’t wait to see what they have in store for us.
In the forgotten corners of an abandoned space station, a team of young space settlers stumble upon the most frightening creature in the cosmos. The movie features Cailee Spaeny (“Priscilla”), David Jonsson (“Agatha Christie’s Murder is Easy”), Archie Renaux (“Shadow and Bone”), Isabela Merced (“The Last of Us”), Spike Fearn (“Aftersun”), and Aileen Wu. Fede Alvarez (“Evil Dead,” “Don’t Breathe”) directs from a script he co-wrote with Rodo Sayagues (“Don’t Breathe 2”). Based on characters created by Dan O’Bannon and Ronald Shusett, “Alien: Romulus” is produced by Ridley Scott who directed the original “Alien” and produced/directed “Prometheus” and “Alien: Covenant.” Michael Pruss (“Boston Strangler”), Walter Hill (“Alien”), Fede Alvarez, Elizabeth Cantillon (“Charlie’s Angels”), Brent O’Connor (“Bullet Train”), and Tom Moran (“Unstoppable”) are the executive producers.
We were hoping Ridley Scott would complete his Alien trilogy, but maybe this latest film will invigorate the franchise as “Predator’s” “Prey” did. What piques our interest is that they continue to keep the plot details a secret.
“Alien: Romulus” opens exclusively in cinemas nationwide 16th August 2024.
