In the course of playing the Lies of P: Overture DLC expansion, you’ll have an opportunity to explore a captivating carnival setting. Hidden within this vibrant environment are 4 elusive Carnival Coin locations that offer exciting rewards. These prizes can differ somewhat, encompassing everything from amusing gestures to potent new gear. Regardless of their specifics, they’re all worth seeking out! Stay tuned as we guide you to each of these hidden treasures.
All Carnival Coin Locations and Rewards | Lies of P: Overture
Carnival Coin #1
To find the initial Carnival Coin, head to the Carnival Garden, specifically the Stargazer area. After that, make your way into the carnival by passing through the main entrance.
Once you enter the carnival, look to your left and you’ll spot a tall, column-like construction. Interact with the white-and-blue puppet positioned nearby for obtaining the initial coin. Now, that’s one out of four coins collected swiftly!
Reward #1 – “Tap Dance” Gesture
Straight after grabbing my first Carnival Coin, I sauntered past those pillar structures and then ducked into the sunny yellow house that was close by.
Make your way towards the puppet theater cart in the house’s corner. This is situated right across from the entryway. Pop in the first Carnival Token to kick off the performance. Enjoy the entire spectacle, and you’ll get the “Tap Dance” Gesture as a prize automatically.
Carnival Coin #2
Next, return to the Carnival Garden Stargazer as a point of reference. Proceed into the carnival, then continue walking forward until you meet the Miniboss Parade Leader.
Overcome this mini-boss and you’ll be given your second Carnival Coin as an instant reward. It shouldn’t present a significant challenge, as it resembles the initial Parade Master boss in the game. However, keep in mind that the small arena may make things a bit tight!
Reward #2 – “Maniac’s Pinwheel” Weapon
Once you’ve triumphed over the Parade Master and earned your second Carnival Coin, take a look around until you spot the sign for the Clown’s Circus. This sign is clearly visible from the mini-arena where you just battled the miniboss. Head in that direction.
You’ll find a brightly-illuminated booth marked by a puppet beneath the Clown’s Circus sign. Engage with it, then insert a Carnival Coin to unlock the entrance to the Clown’s Circus. Step inside to join in a brief minigame.
Within the Clown’s Circus, move upward using the wooden steps to your left, and then position yourself on the illuminated disc located smack in the center of the round performance area.
Immediately upon setting foot on the platform, an assortment of clown figurines will burst out of the ground. To neutralize them, you must strike them with your chosen item, but be careful not to hit any dolls that have a red, illuminated bomb inside.
Keep striking the dolls until you trigger a brief sequence displaying a neighboring clown figurine bursting. The resulting debris will contain an item drop, which you can retrieve to obtain the Maniac’s Pinwheel, a versatile weapon for customization. This weapon serves as both a Handle and a Blade, making it quite useful!
Carnival Coin #3
After that, let’s move on to the third Carnival Coin and its prizes in Lies of P: Overture! In this case, retrace your steps back to where you previously battled the Parade Master miniboss and continue towards the Ferris wheel.
As you approach the Ferris wheel, look to your left and find the carousel. Then, proceed by walking towards it.
Go past the carousel itself and check the side of the carousel opposite of the entrance.
At that location, you’ll encounter a pair of deceased humans emitting a radiant object, along with some adversaries. First, defeat the enemies, and then investigate the dead couple to obtain the third Carnival Coin. It may not be as cheerful as the other coins, but such is life…
Reward #3 – Workshop Union Auto-Adaptive Converter
To receive the third reward, make your way back to the Ferris wheel, then turn your gaze towards it. Once you’re facing it squarely, turn to your right side to spot another Clown’s Circus structure. Just as before, move forward towards the stall situated at the front of this building and pay with one Carnival Coin to gain entry inside.
As a fan of the grand circus show, venture deep into its heart to discover the colossal clown’s face. Beware, for when fireworks illuminate the night, an adversary will burst forth from the clown’s grinning maw! Act swiftly to vanquish this puppet foe using Electro Blitz attacks for optimal effectiveness.
After the puppet falls, venture inside the large clown face’s mouth to discover a safe. Interact with it to break it open and obtain the Workshop Union Auto-Adaptive Converter as a prize. In NG+, this upgraded version will be available. This Converter is quite heavy, but it offers excellent resistance against all types of damage. Additionally, defeating the miniboss should have also awarded an Ergo Crystal of the Eternal. Thus, you’ll get two valuable items for the price of one!
Carnival Coin #4
Lastly, here’s the location for the last Carnival Coin in Lies of P: Overture. To find it, navigate back to the Carnival Garden Stargazer. Once there, enter the carnival and move towards the rear of the Clown Knock-Down tent.
Behind the tent, take the slope to your left.
After descending slowly, turn to your left one more time and pass beneath the bridge again.
Or,
Once you’ve gently made your way down, make a left turn once more and journey below the bridge.
Following the passage under the bridge, keep an eye out for a lifeless individual carrying a luggage. Interact with the suitcase to obtain the last and crucial Carnival Coin!
Reward #4 – Full Moonstone of the Covenant, “Cheer” Gesture, Strategist’s Amulet
Go back to the carousel you visited earlier, it’s the one where you found the third Carnival Coin. On this occasion, when you approach the carousel, turn left instead.
There, you’ll notice some wooden platforms and an elevator made of wood. Jump or descend from these structures towards the spot beneath, close to where a vendor stands.
Ignore the merchant for now. Just continue straight ahead to the large white-and-red tent.
Immediately upon stepping into the tent, there’s a clown puppet waiting to your right, instructing you to go up on stage. Interact with it to make use of your last Carnival Coin.
Upon activation, the puppet will unfold to unveil a concealed compartment containing the “Full Moonstone of the Covenant” as your prize! Furthermore, by performing the Tap Dance move from earlier, you can also acquire both the “Cheer” gesture and the “Strategist’s Amulet”. Quite a haul for one location, but we certainly aren’t going to argue with all these rewards!
As you’ve learned, these are the spots for all four Carnival Coins in Lies of P: Overture, along with their rewards. While making your way through the carnival, it could be beneficial to search for Rosaura’s shoes as well. These items are essential for her quest and aren’t overly difficult to locate!
