As a long-time viewer and ardent supporter of All Creatures Great and Small, I find myself deeply engrossed in this week’s narrative, particularly Siegfried’s predicament with Mr Biggins and his nanny goat. Having followed the series since its inception, I can confidently say that Siegfried’s resilience and determination have been tested time and again by the Good ol’ Biggins, yet he remains steadfast, vowing to take decisive action to avoid a fourth callout.
This week’s episode of All Creatures Great and Small presents a challenge for Siegfried as Mr Biggins’ nanny goat endures an illness.
Following two prior checks on the animal that left the vet quite stressed, he’s been reached out to again by the farmer, asking for another visit.
As Carmody is preoccupied with his exams and James is busy preparing for baby Jimmy’s Christening, it’s left to me, Siegfried, who’s got a full load as it is, to manage the usual chaos that comes with Biggins.
He’s worn me out with his endless flip-flopping, but not this time!” he asserts, implying a determination to act decisively and avoid another emergency situation for the fourth time.
Will he finally placate Biggins? Or is this sorry saga doomed to continued?
Watch all of the action above.
So far this season on All Creatures has been quite dynamic. For one, James was dismissed from military service due to personal health issues. On top of that, he’s had a lapse of memory at work, forgetting about his son entirely. Furthermore, Helen’s relationship with her sister Jenny has become strained, as Jenny suggested the possibility of leaving Darrowby altogether.
Additionally, there are many exciting things to come, such as Tristan’s highly anticipated return, which won’t be a smooth ride, and also a heartfelt narrative for Mrs. Hall.
Every year, I find myself reminiscing about the romance between Mrs. Hall and Gerald due to its strong impact on me. It was a difficult goodbye for someone who cherished their story so much. This season, however, Mrs. Hall encounters an immense challenge that seems to strain her mental well-being significantly.
All Creatures Great and Small airs on Thursdays at 9pm on Channel 5 and My5.
