As a seasoned adventurer who has traversed the length and breadth of Teyvat, I must say that the quests in this new region are truly something else! The intricacies and challenges they present are simply unparalleled.

In our latest update for Natlan in Genshin Impact, we’ve introduced several fresh sub-regions! As expected, these changes bring along a host of brand-new missions. This walkthrough will detail the locations and methods for acquiring all the quests within the Natlan 5.2 expansion. Please note that this guide excludes the new Archon Quest.

All Quests in Genshin Impact Version 5.2

1) The Wingless One of Tlalocan (Tribal Chronicle)

Travel to the Statue of Seven at Quahuacan Cliff and move towards the Flower-Feather Clan’s direction. On the bridge leading to the clan, you’ll encounter someone who is both singing and crying. Approach her to initiate your quest and you will come across Chasca. The conversation will be extensive but there won’t be any puzzles, so you shouldn’t face any challenges in completing it.

If you see the icon but the Non-Player Character (NPC) isn’t present, it might be because they are busy with another mission, specifically “Archon Quest Chapter V: Interlude”. Therefore, I recommend starting or finishing that quest first, and then come back to this location.

2) The Night Before The Trial (Tribal Chronicle)

Once you finish the quest titled ‘The Wingless One of Tlalocan’, this next quest will be granted automatically. Head straight to the trial site located westward from the Flower Feather Clan Reputation NPC. If you encounter any difficulties, a guide provided below might help you out.

At the current trial location, you’ll find four challenges requiring resolution. Here’s a brief rundown: Firstly, locate the Cautious Investigator NPC and destroy the fragile rock he’s near. Following that destruction, an enemy will be found hidden beneath the rock. If your team lacks Geo or Claymore characters at this moment, you can utilize the bomb next to the rock as an alternative means of defeating the enemy.

As an eager enthusiast, let me share a tip from our adventure: The second clue involves characters with Doubtful and Confused airs. Your task is simple: Smash the marked stone in the picture you see earlier with a Tepetlisaurus! Good luck on your quest!

In this case, the third option involves summoning a balloon (containing a bomb) by addressing a Non-Player Character (NPC). Afterward, aim your bow character and fire directly at the specified spout you’re supposed to hit, causing the balloon to drop onto that spot.

In this instance, you’ll find yourself with the Inquisitive Explorer. Notice the three radiant marks near her. Utilize Chasca’s Trial ability and simultaneously strike all the luminous spots. Once done, successfully pass the gliding test to advance in your quest.

3) Guns and Wings (Tribal Chronicle)

This quest is referred to as “Chasca’s Story Quest,” and you can access it only after successfully finishing the two tribal chronicles: ‘The Wingless One of Tlalocan’ and ‘The Night Before The Trial,’ belonging to the Flower-Feather Clan.

4) Calling from the Masters of the Night-Wind (Tribal Chronicle)

To find yourself at the Statue of Seven within the Tezvatepetonco Range, you’ll promptly receive a quest that will guide you to the dwelling place of the Master of the Night-Wind. The adorable Iktomisaur will serve as your guide in this journey. This mission is brimming with enigmas, but with the power of the Iktomisaur, they can be successfully navigated.

Initially, upon being teleported and needing to search for three pieces of information, once you’ve found them (indicated by quest navigation), you are required to enter an Iktomisaur and employ its ability to scrutinize a triangle symbol.

Within the concealed space, employ Iktomisaur’s unique ability again on the vibrant marking on the wall. Following this, press ‘E’ to generate the exit. Subsequently, you will finish the mission and receive the subsequent one.

5) Legendary “Color” (Tribal Chronicle)

Upon successfully finishing the quest titled ‘Calling from the Masters of the Night-Wind’, your current quest will automatically become available for you. Once done, simply head north and you’ll encounter an NPC who will guide you to the next location.

6) Lost Traveler in the Ashen Realm (Quest Chain)

Head over to the Statue of the Seven in Ochkanatlan, but be aware that it’s securely enclosed by a gate. If you choose, interact with the Iktomisaur close by, or ensure that Ororon accompanies you on your journey.

To examine the symbol next to the gate, you can either click on Iktomisaur (left-click mouse) or use Ororon’s Aimed Shot. Once scanned, a purple halo will appear around your Iktomisaur/Ororon. This purple halo grants you an ability to leap with greater height.

Leap up to the second level where there’s an opening, then go inside. Your reptilian friend will materialize and guide you towards the third floor.

On the third floor, you’ll find a control switch. To initiate the journey, simply flip the switch. Remember that this is part of a multi-step quest, so allow approximately a few hours to finish it. For comprehensive instructions on this entire chain, check out the Lost Traveler in the Ashen Realm Quest Chain Guide here: The Lost Traveler’s Quest Chain Guide in the Ashen Realm.

7) Open Your Heart to Me

To access this mission, make sure you’ve finished the entire “Lost Traveler in the Ashen Realm” quest series first. Upon completion, navigate towards a cave entrance located southeast of Ochkanatlan.

Within the cavern, make your way towards the western direction; there, you’ll stumble upon an entrance. Step inside that entrance and encounter a riddle. Solve a sequence of riddles within this cavern, and your adventure will commence. For comprehensive instructions on this entire quest, refer to the Open Your Heart to Me Quest Guide located here: Open Your Heart to Me Quest Walkthrough

8) Sauro-Vet’s Dilemma

Go to the Reputation figure at Flower-Feather Clan and move towards the Tenebrous Papilla marker. At this location, you’ll encounter a lady NPC and a distressed Qucusaur. In this mission, your objective is to chase after the Qucusaur and administer it medicine. There are two types of medication available, and you get to pick one. Upon completion, you’ll earn the achievement [It’s Not Much, But It’s A Start…].

9) The Mystery of Tecoloapan Beach

To embark on this journey, you first must reside inside a Koholasaurus located far west of Masters of the Night Wind and then swim over the sea to get to the misty island. Upon your arrival, a voice will resonate, allowing you to initiate the quest. Your task is to uncover the mysteries hidden within the shrouded island. For comprehensive instructions on this entire quest, please refer to The Mystery of Tecoloapan Beach Quest Guide.

10) Dancin’ in the Moonlight

Travel to the designated location within Flower-Feather Clan, then proceed eastward towards the lower platform. There, you’ll find a tiny Non-Player Character (NPC) resting on the ground and requesting water.

Indwell a nearby Iktomisaurus and scan the Nightspirit Graffiti on the rock. Hold E to place the Nightspirit Body (a Hydro ember) near the boy and destroy it to make it rain. After that, you will start the quest.

Once you’ve finished the ‘Dancin’ in the Moonlight’ mission, have a peek at your map where you’ll spot ‘Magnifico’s Photo Spot‘. Jump over using the Masters of the Night Wind to proceed with the quest.

When Magnifico desires two light sources, have the Iktomisaur search for the torches in the Nightspirit Graffiti and then position them at the indicated locations overhead.

11) Come Fly With Me

This quest is the continuation of ‘Dancin’ in the Moonlight’ so make sure to complete that first. You can find Magnifico’s Photo Spot southeast of S7 in Quahuacan Cliff.

On this occasion, it would be tricky if you hadn’t paid attention to what Magnifico intended from the start. Essentially, once Magnifico reaches 1 in his countdown, you should submerge yourself towards the large orange marker situated on the waterfall. That covers the instructions for this particular quest.

12) Stand by Me

To finish this journey seamlessly, ensure you’ve completed ‘Come Fly With Me’ beforehand. You’ll encounter Magnifico one last time in the region northwest of the Flower-Feather Clan.

To accomplish this task, you should inhabit a Tepetlisaur and proceed to the designated locations marked on your map. Keep moving forward until you reach the spot atop the rock. Once there, vanquish some foes and you’ll finish the quest and receive the [Till Moss Grows Forth] as your reward.

13) From One Case to Another (Quest Chain)

Travel southward towards the designated spot of Masters of the Night-Wind waypoint, then move to the marked area there. Locate either a Qucusaur or Chasca to traverse the gusty winds carrying a Pyroculus. Following this action, your quest will initiate. This is a series of interconnected quests where the next one will automatically be assigned upon completion, and each one tends to be brief. The quest titles are:

14) The Lone Isle Named Night

To embark on this journey, you first must solve a puzzle. This puzzle, along with the quest, can be found on a small island northeast of Ochkanatlan. Upon arrival, look for a circular object (known as the Ancient Inscribed Ring) atop the gate. Ensure all semi-circular components move into place to form a complete circle before employing Iktomisaur’s ability to scan them. For further guidance on completing the Lone Isle Named Night Quest, refer to the detailed walkthrough here: The Lone Isle Named Night Quest Guide.

15) Stones, Coconuts, and Dragon Traffickers

Travel to the waypoint west of Masters of the Night-Wind and proceed southwest towards the coastline, where you’ll encounter an injured male NPC alongside a wounded Saurian. For this mission, your objective is to locate some Saurian traffickers and overcome them.

At the trafficker’s camp, it’s crucial to pick the correct sequence of actions to proceed with your mission. Here’s the right sequence:

16) Friends of Fire and Water

A brief follow-up mission, linked to the previous adventure titled ‘Stones, Coconuts, and Dragon Traffickers’, can be located on the southwestern coastline of Masters of the Night-Wind. The objectives remain similar: vanquish the adversaries once more, and this time, make sure to liberate all 3 cages. Do take note that there are indeed 3 cages, and the final one is the enclosed Saurian Cart. Some players might have overlooked it in the previous mission.

Prepare and nourish the Blubberbeast prior to returning it to the ocean, thus fulfilling the mission and earning an accomplishment [Has Fontaine Beast Ever Consumed Natlan Fish?]

17) A Saurian Returns to the Nest

Move to a location south of the Masters of the Night-Wind, then head northwest until you come across a massive mountain close to the sea (marked in the image above). When you arrive at that spot, you’ll hear someone singing.

Afterward, Paimon speaks of someone high above serenading. A Tepetlisaurus (or Xilonen/Kachina) resides close by, choosing to ascend the mountain’s peak. At the summit, one can find a lady NPC, and if you venture towards her, she will offer you a quest.

The task isn’t too tough; what you essentially have to accomplish is to master riding a Qucusaurus and conquer the flying test. Don’t fret about the see-through blue birds, and once you get used to it, controlling them will be a breeze. Gather Challenge Coins to reach the top rank and unlock all treasure chests.

18) Charge Forward! Go, Go, Go!

Travel to the waypoint situated south of Masters of the Night-Wind, then proceed southwards until you hit the designated spot. Upon arrival at the location, Paimon will inform you about a floating house above and provide instructions on how to access it. To achieve this, you’ll need to sound two horns in the correct sequence.

In the image you see, the two large horns are almost identical to the location Paimon pointed out as the previous house site. The sequence is: left, right, left, right. A wind current will form, allowing you to soar above and reach the house. Overcome this gliding challenge to finish the quest.

19) Molting Season

Make your way to the waypoint located southeast of Flower-Feather Clan, then proceed southward until you hear the angry roar of a Saurian Trafficker. Overpower them to unveil the mysterious voice coming from beneath the gate.

As a keen adventurer, I’d step into a Qucusaur and engage in a conversation with it under its shelter. The Qucusaur, conveniently placed next to a Phlogiston Wind Tunnel tent, would reveal a secret shortcut leading to Acomitl’s cellar. Upon chatting with Acomitl, I’d then tackle the gliding challenge to wrap up the quest successfully.

20) Every Aspect of a Warrior

Once you’ve successfully finished the three preceding quests: ‘A Saurian Returns to the Nest’, ‘Charge Forward! Go, Go, Go!’ and ‘Molting Season’, a new quest called ‘‘A Saurian Returns Home’‘ will become available to you. This new quest will automatically appear in your list. To complete it, successfully navigate through the gliding challenge.

21) Twisted Extension

Initially, visit the five locations marked by red circles above, where you’ll need to conquer the Mimiflora enemies that have appeared alongside Quenin for assistance. Subsequently, proceed to the area indicated by a purple circle and discover Quenin’s diary to obtain this quest.

You can refer to the images above for the location and enemies you can expect to fight.

Following your victory against all foes in the designated locations above, navigate towards the Canyon of Dark Currents waypoint. There, you’ll find a small camp where Quenin’s Diary can be found. After reading it, the quest officially begins. Your tasks are simple: breach a destructible wall and engage in combat with an enemy.
