John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are showing the world what family means to them.
For over a decade now, since they exchanged vows in Lake Como, Italy, in August 2013, the couple has frequently shared peeks into their family life, which includes children Luna (8 years old), Miles (6 years old), Esti (23 months), and Wren (18 months), as well as numerous beloved pets.
From my earliest days, I’ve harbored a desire for four kids,” Chrissy shared in an Instagram post following the birth of her youngest child in June 2023. “As a young girl, I constantly cradled two glow worms and two cabbage patch dolls, assisting me in the kitchen, tuning into Alf with me. We’d share a bed each night, giving an equal number of kisses to ensure no one felt left out.
For John and Chrissy, realizing their dream of having a family wasn’t without its difficulties and sorrowful moments. In truth, they have openly discussed their prolonged battles with infertility—Luna, Miles, Esti, and Wren were brought into the world through IVF—and the surrogacy process that led to the arrival of their youngest child, Wren. Unfortunately, they experienced a heartbreaking pregnancy loss in 2020 with their son, Jack.
In Chrissy’s Instagram post, she expressed gratitude for the wonderful gift given by Alexandra, saying “Thank you so much for this incredible gift, Alexandra.” She also posted a picture of herself giving a kiss to Alexandra’s baby bump. Furthermore, she announced that their child has arrived and his name will forever be connected to Alexandra: Wren Alexander Stephens.
In my heart and within our abode, there’s now an overflowing love, I declared. To our dear Jack, it feels as though the tender caress of angels is sent from him.
Speaking of John, he’s always been open about his deep affection for his family. This is evident in both his hit songs that express his feelings and the tattoo of his wife and children on his arm.
Moreover, their affection reaches beyond just their children. Not only have they openly shared their path to parenthood, but they’ve also been open about expressing gratitude towards the numerous nannies who assist them in managing their family and careers.
They’re also swift in presenting each other with flowers as a token of appreciation for how they nurture their children.
In a recent interview with TopMob News, John expressed his admiration for his wife, saying, “You’re an amazing mom.” He added, “We strive to be present during the important moments in our children’s lives, shaping their character and outlook on life. We often discuss with them how to become good individuals.
However, among significant achievements they’ve marked with their kids – such as globetrotting excursions or planned visits to the 2024 Paris Olympics – Chrissy confessed that the most cherished moments are those of simplicity.
As a devoted parent, those precious moments I cherish are sharing the evening with them, snuggling up together to read stories, listening to their day’s tales – these instances I wouldn’t dream of missing. They’re truly unique experiences we shouldn’t pass up.

On June 28, 2023, Chrissy announced that she and John had given birth to a new baby boy, Wren Alexander Stephens, through a surrogate in the same month. The name ‘Wren’ carries a part of the name of the surrogate, Alexandra, who is depicted alongside Chrissy here, a well-known personality from ‘Chrissy’s Court’.

Chrissy posted on Instagram: “Maxine Stephens has arrived! The house is filled with excitement and our family couldn’t be more ecstatic. Daddy sheds tears of happiness every night watching Luna and Miles shower her with affection, and it turns out, even with a C-section, you still need diapers! We are on cloud nine.
While writing from his account, John expressed, “I am amazed by Chrissy’s strength and resilience. It’s truly heartwarming to witness Luna and Miles bonding with their new baby sister. I am incredibly thankful, but ‘grateful’ feels too small a word.
On Instagram, John penned, “At times, it’s essential to work together,” accompanied by a photo of his daughter donning a dress from the American Girl x Janie and Jack collaboration.
At my father’s electrifying kickoff concert for his Las Vegas residency on the 22nd of April, I couldn’t help but share a chuckle-worthy picture of Miles dozing off during the performance.
