As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the Elden Ring Version 1.13 patch notes have left me quite impressed. FromSoftware has always been known for their attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality gaming experiences, but this latest update takes it to a whole new level.


As a tech-savvy gamer, I’m thrilled to share that FromSoftware’s latest masterpiece, Elden Ring, has received an exciting update named Version 1.13. Bandai Namco, the game’s publisher, recently unveiled the patch notes for this enhancement. These are balance that will only affect the PvP content of Elden Ring.

Equipment

  • Increased poise damage of normal attacks for the following weapon types:
    Light Great Swords / Backhand Blades / Hand-to-Hand Arts / Beast Claws
  • Increased poise damage of dual wield attacks for the following weapon types:
    Straight Swords / Thrusting Swords / Curved Swords / Katanas / Spears / Whips / Fists / Claws
  • Increased poise damage of the Claws of Night throwing attacks.
  • Decreased the backstep invulnerability window when the Fine Crucible Feather Talisman or the Talisman of All Crucibles are equipped.

Skills

The second strike of the Savage Lion’s Claw follow-up attack now lands more easily and has a reduced damage animation for its initial hit when attacking other players.

Raging Beast – Decreased invulnerability window against other players’ attacks.

Blind Spot – Decreased invulnerability window against other players’ attacks.

Palm Blast – Decreased poise amount generated when charging this skill.

Spell and Incantations

Miriam’s Vanishing – Decreased invulnerability window against other players’ attacks.

Knight’s Lightning Spear – Boosted power of the first lightning spear thrown, yet weaker subsequent spears, and reduced poise damage inflicted by all spears produced via this enchantment.

Elden Ring Version 1.13 patch notes – General balance adjustments

These are balance adjustments that will apply to all of Elden Ring’s content.

  • Increased damage animation of the Light Greatsword charge attacks against enemies (other than players).
  • Increased the stats & status of the following NPCs that can be summoned in some areas: Needle Knight Leda / Pureblood Knight Ansbach / Thiollier.
  • Increased the attack power and damage negation of summoned spirits, excluding the Mimic Tear, when the Revered Spirit Ash Blessing is at [5] or more.
  • Increased the attack power and damage negation of summoned spirits, excluding the Mimic Tear, when upgraded to “+8” or higher.

Armament

1. Enhanced damage output for these weapons upon upgrade: Repeating Crossbow, Spread Crossbow, and Rabbath’s Cannon.

Shield of Night – Increased damage negation when blocking physical attacks.

Euporia represents an enhancement that amplifies the divine damage inflicted through a weapon, while also reducing the number of strikes needed to rejuvenate its radiance and prolonging the duration of this revitalization process.

Golden Lion Shield – Increase guard strength.

Golem Fist – Added a damage hitbox to the hand portion of the ranged fist attack.

Enhancement for Smithscript Greathammer: Amplifies the impact damage during the throw phase of attack projects, while the projectile itself remains unaffected.

Using crossbow bolts with status effects results in a reduced buildup of those effects when fired with the Spread Crossbow.

After developing a status condition, such as poison or paralysis, the length of the affliction will be decreased significantly right away.

As a game analysis expert, I would suggest paraphrasing “Clarifying Horn Charm,” “Clarifying Horn Charm +1,” and “Clarifying Horn Charm +2” as follows:

Weed Cutter –Increased the speed of attacks.

Romina’s Purification – Increased poise value when using this skill.

Red Bear Hunt – Increased attack power and ncreased poise value when using this skill.

Rancor Shot – Decreased status build-up generation when used with Arrows that have status effects.

Repeating Fire – Adjusted attack power to compensate for increase in weapon damage

Feeble Lord’s Frenzied Flame – Reduced Frenzy status effect buildup against enemies.

With his enhanced vitality and formidable physical attack power, he can take a beating and keep on swinging. Moreover, his ability to maintain balance during fierce battles makes him less susceptible to being staggered, ensuring that he remains a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield. Lastly, extending the duration of his aura’s effect grants a lasting boost to his allies’ attack power, making them more effective contributors to the team’s success. In essence, Stormhawk Deenh is an unyielding and powerful ally, ready to stand tall in the face of adversity.

Banished Knight Oleg – Increased physical attack power and damage negation against physical attacks. Also, will no longer stagger as easily.

1. Enhanced Physical Attack Potency and Shielding Against Physical Damage for the Exiled Knight Engval, along with reduced susceptibility to being disrupted or losing balance.

Bloodhound Knight Floh: Boosted in both physical attack force and resistance to incoming physical harm. Now less susceptible to being knocked off balance.

1. Captain Huw (of the Black Knights) – Enhanced his physical attack force and resistance to incoming physical damage, while also reducing susceptibility to being knocked off balance.

1. Commanding Knight Andreas – Boosts his physical attack potency and resistance to physical damage, while reducing vulnerability to being knocked off balance by such attacks.

Fire Knight Hilde – Increased Fire attack power and will no longer stagger as easily.

Fire Knight Queelign – Increased Vigor and Faith.

Swordhand of Night Jolán – Increased Vigor and Dexterity.

Jolán and Anna – Increased Vigor and Dexterity.

1. Battlemage Hugues – Enhanced strength in both physical and magical attacks, with improved resistance against being knocked off balance or staggered.

1. Latenna the Albinauric – Boosted health points, enhanced physical and magical attack capabilities, and reduced susceptibility to staggers.

Perfumer Tricia – Increased HP and will no longer stagger as easily.

Depraved Perfumer Carmaan – Increased fire attack power and will no longer stagger as easily.

Based on my extensive knowledge and experience in analyzing character traits and abilities, I can confidently say that Omenkiller Rollo seems to be a formidable warrior. With increased Health Points (HP), Physical Attack Power, and Fire Attack Power, it’s clear that this character is built for combat. Furthermore, the ability to resist staggering will undoubtedly make him a tough opponent in any battle scenario. His skillset suggests a life filled with battles, honing his abilities, and overcoming adversity, making him an intriguing and powerful character.

Blackflame Monk Amon – Increased HP and Fire attack power. Also, will no longer stagger as easily.

Curseblade Meera – Increased HP and physical attack power. Also, will no longer stagger as easily.

1. Enhanced Vitality, Physical Combat Strength, and Magic Combat Strength for Demi-Human Swordsman Yosh – Additionally, he’ll exhibit enhanced resistance to staggering effects.

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I’ve encountered countless characters in various RPGs, but none quite like Ancient Dragon Knight Kristoff. This legendary knight is no ordinary warrior; his mastery over lightning magic and unyielding resilience against physical, lightning, and holy attacks sets him apart from the rest.

Knight Redmane Ogha exhibits enhanced physical attack prowess and resistance to both physical and fire-based attacks. Moreover, he becomes less susceptible to being staggered or knocked back during combat.

1. Lhutel the Headless – Boosts physical attack strength and resistance to incoming physical damage. Additionally, becomes less susceptible to being knocked off balance.

Knight Finlay, called the Impeccable Cleanrot, gains enhanced resistance to physical, magical, and holy attacks, resulting in increased damage output and improved defense against these types of assaults. Additionally, this knight becomes less susceptible to being knocked off balance.

Black Knife Tiche – Will no longer stagger as easily.

The Divine Bird Warrior Ornis experiences an enhancement in its health points and resistance to physical attack harm, excluding piercing strikes. Additionally, it becomes less susceptible to being staggered.

The ancient dragon Florissax possesses enhanced arcane abilities, heightened resistance to damage from all elements, and improved proficiency in using skills and casting incantations. Additionally, its attack speed and poise are amplified during certain moves.

Finger Maiden Therolina Puppet – Increased Vigor and Faith.

Jarwight Puppet – Increased Vigor.

Dolores the Sleeping Arrow Puppet – Increased Vigor.

Nepheli Loux Puppet – Increased Vigor and Strength.

Elden Ring Version 1.13 patch notes – General balance adjustments

  • Changed the default selection of the OK / CANCEL prompt that shows up when using the “Spectral Steed Whistle” while the spectral steed is dead. The default selection position is now OK.
  • Adjusted the placement of NPC summon signs in certain boss fight areas.
  • Changed the NPC summon signs in certain boss fights to allow the user to summon NPCs simply by pressing the action button once.
  • Fixed a bug where the damage of some normal attacks of the Dark Moon Greatsword were lower than intended.
  • Fixed the physical attack attribute menu display of the “Warpick” weapon.
  • Fixed a bug where some attacks of the “Swift Spear” weapon were different than expected in terms of power, damage motion and hitbox generation timing.

  • Fixed a bug where “Anti-aliasing Quality” was unintentionally set to “High” each time the game was restarted.

Correction of end credits

In update 1.12, an error was included in the credits of the game.

This issue will be corrected in the next update.

Elden Ring Version 1.13 patch notes – Possible unstable performance fixes

  • For the PS5 version of the game, unstable framerate may be improved by using the “Rebuild Database” option from the device’s safe mode.
  • In some PC versions, Ray Tracing may be unintentionally enabled and cause unstable performance. Please check the Ray Tracing setting in the “System” > “Graphics ” > “Ray Tracing Quality” from the title screen or in-game menu.
  • In the PC version, the message “Inappropriate activity detected” may appear without cheating.
  • To fix this issue, please verify the integrity of the game’s files before restarting the game.
  • In the PC version, unstable framerate may be caused by third party applications that control mouse behavior.  Deactivating these third party applications may improve performance. The version number of this update shown at the lower right corner of the Title Screen will be as follows:

  • In PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S versions, Regulation files can be downloaded by logging in to the server.

Use the newly improved Spirit Ashes to help you conquer the Lands Between and Realm of Shadow

In the latest update of Elden Ring, Version 1.13, it’s worth noting that every Spirit Ash companion, excluding the Mimic Tear, has received significant strength enhancements. For those who may be unfamiliar, Spirit Ashes are non-playable characters (NPCs) that players can summon to assist them during challenging boss fights. These NPC spirits are particularly useful for players who find themselves struggling against these bosses alone or don’t have the option of online co-op due to internet connectivity issues.

In previous versions, many players found that Spirit Ash’s Mimic Tear didn’t perform well in boss fights due to its limited survivability and underwhelming stats compared to the original character. With this update, however, every summoned Spirit Ash has received a significant enhancement to their health, attack power, and defenses, making them more effective in battle.
