Always Felt Great

In a delightful continuation of his podcast tour, Shuhei Yoshida recently graced the Easy Allies podcast, showering accolades upon Sucker Punch Productions and their forthcoming title, Ghost of Yotei.

When the topic of the studio arises, the ex-PlayStation executive can’t help but praise them warmly.

Yoshida expresses his enthusiasm, saying, “Both Naughty Dog and Sucker Punch create games that just feel perfect. They’re so well-designed that you lose track of the fact you’re even using a controller – it all feels incredibly natural and instinctive to play.

Regarding the final point, he notes that Sucker Punch has been playable since its early development stages and, remarkably, it’s quite stable with minimal bugs, so it rarely crashes.

Yoshida mentions that during his tenure with the company, he had the opportunity to explore numerous variations of “Ghost of Tsushima” and “Ghost of Yotei”.

Each visit to the studio, regardless of having parted ways with the initial team, the game producer would invite me to his office for a sneak peek at the work-in-progress Ghost of Yotei. His intention was to gather my thoughts, and every time I was given this opportunity, it felt incredibly rewarding.

2025 is when we anticipate the unveiling of Ghost of Yotei, but so far, there hasn’t been much exposure to it. As we draw closer to its release date towards the end of the year, it’s expected that it will garner more attention and be more in the public eye.
