Aly Michalka Addresses Rumor She Dated Costar Ricky Ullman for 6 Years

Did Aly Michalka find herself with a 22nd-century-man? Not quite.

Previously known Disney Channel actress Aly Michalka and her sister, AJ Michalka, addressed some speculations about their personal lives, including a gossip that Aly had been in a six-year relationship with her Phil of the Future co-star Raviv Ullman (who portrayed Ricky during the show’s run from 2004 to 2006). However, it appears this was just a rumor and not based on reality.

Aly said to Alex Cooper on the January 8th episode of Call Her Daddy, “Not at all funny, but I’m curious, is this something popular on the internet?

And as AJ noted, “Literally can attest: never even kissed.”

As stated by Aly, there was no romantic connection between the two individuals who played characters on the Disney series set in the 22nd century that got stranded in 2004. Instead, she described their relationship as primarily a friendship due to their age difference, with him being older than her.

“That age range felt huge,” the 35-year-old explained. “I was 13 and I think he was 16.”

As a dedicated admirer, I must confess that, in the beginning, there was a fleeting spark for me and Raviv. Yet, now, Aly is cherishing the blossoming love with her long-term partner Stephen Ringer, their bond strengthened by their shared son Jack Francis, only nine months old.

During the test, when I evaluated Phil from Future Man, I noticed he was one of the other contenders. At that moment, I thought to myself, ‘He’s quite attractive.’ Later on, after getting to know them better, I found ourselves becoming friends, and I realized, ‘Now we’re just pals.’

Indeed, I should clarify that at the time when Aly was shooting, I happened to be quite close friends with my girlfriend.

As a die-hard admirer, let me spill the beans! Although Aly never went on dates with Raviv, AJ did share an exciting tidbit – her very first smooch was locked with another Disney Channel sensation, none other than Joe Jonas!

“In a bowling alley,” she added. “It was so innocent. It was sweet.”

As reported by AJ, they first crossed paths during the Jonas Brothers’ opening act for Aly & AJ on tour. Their relationship lasted for approximately a year and a half, give or take.

She also attempted to introduce Aly to Kevin Jonas, but it seemed they didn’t quite connect, as Aly playfully remarked that they weren’t exactly in sync during that particular moment.

Reflecting on their time with Disney, Aly and AJ express gratitude for their experiences. In particular, they can vividly recall the instance that marked a turning point in their lives – when Aly received an invitation to attend a concert by Hilary Duff, following the debut of the first season of Phil of the Future.

She recalled that at the concert, she was surrounded by a large group of people, an unusual experience for her. But it struck her then that she had become recognizable due to the show she had been in.

Following his debut as charming character Ethan Craft in the Hilary Duff-led comedy, Clayton Snyder momentarily paused his acting career to complete high school and attend Pepperdine University, where he participated in water polo. While he made an appearance in a 2014 episode of NCIS, currently he’s dedicated to his real estate profession.

However, when the subject arises, he’s not hesitant to discuss his past as a child actor. As he shared with TopMob News, “Occasionally, clients discover my past as a child star halfway through a showing of homes. Their reactions are priceless! But it makes me feel good because I know they’re not choosing me for that reason. Instead, they appreciate both the nostalgia and the quality service we provide.

Following his memorable portrayal of Lizzie’s friend-turned-boyfriend David “Gordo” Gordon in the cherished sitcom, Adam Lamberg secured roles in movies titled “When Do We Dine?” and “The Beautiful Loser”. As per his LinkedIn profile, he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography from UC Berkeley and further pursued a Master of Public Administration from Baruch College. However, it appears that he has stepped away from acting, despite initial plans to reprise his role in the “Lizzie McGuire” revival.

In the final six episodes of “Lizzie McGuire” and the 2003 movie, Lalaine’s character Miranda Sanchez was absent because she was busy filming Disney Channel Original Movie “You Wish!”. This absence seemed to impact her career as well, as her music career didn’t gain much traction and a sequel series centered around Miranda, titled “What’s Stevie Thinking?”, never made it past the pilot stage. In 2007, she was arrested and charged with felony possession of meth, but after completing court-ordered rehab, the charge was removed from her record. Since then, she has made a cameo in “Easy A” and can often be found on Instagram rather than on either the big or small screen. However, she did have a film called “Definition Please” released in 2020.

Following a run of 65 episodes as the cherished younger sibling Matt on Lizzie McGuire, Jake Thomas has consistently stayed active in the industry, featuring on Disney’s Cory In the House and subsequently starring as a guest on shows such as ER, House, Criminal Minds, NCIS, and S.W.A.T. He also collaborated with YouTuber Joey Graceffa in the web series Storytellers from 2013 to 2014.

In 2018, he completed his studies at Cal State University, Northridge, earning a degree in Screenwriting with a minor in Japanese Language. On his Instagram account, he posts a blend of his own photographs and nostalgic images from his days as a child actor.

Following her debut lead role in the 2000 DCOM “Rip Girls,” Camilla Belle momentarily stepped away from acting, returning to it with the 2006 remake of “When a Stranger Calls” and the 2008 blockbuster “10,000 BC.”

She had a brief romance with Joe Jonas, whom she met during the filming of the Jonas Brothers’ video for “Lovebug,” from late-2008 to mid-2009, resulting in her being mentioned in Taylor Swift’s song “Better Than Revenge.”

Since then, she has primarily worked in independent films, featuring in productions such as “Open Road,” “Diablo” and James Franco’s 2017 film “The Mad Whale.” Lately, she has made guest appearances on “Dollface” and “Law & Order: Organized Crime.

After finishing his run as the youngest Russo sibling Max on “Wizards of Waverly Place” in 2012, Jake T. Austin swiftly moved on to a leading role on ABC Family’s show, later known as Freeform’s “The Fosters”. He portrayed Jesus Foster during the first two seasons before leaving and being replaced by Noah Centineo. Following this, he participated in season 23 of “Dancing With the Stars” and was the first contestant to be eliminated. Additionally, he voiced characters for the films “The Emoji Movie” (2017) and “Adverse” (2020), a thriller featuring Mickey Rourke. He’s now set to return to his role in the upcoming sequel of “Wizards”.

As David Henrie, the actor who played Justin Russo on the beloved show, I’ve taken a slightly different path since we wrapped up in 2012. Unlike my co-stars, I wasn’t part of the follow-up film “The Wizards Return: Alex vs. Alex,” but I’ve still graced the big screen in movies like “Grown Ups 2” and “Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2.”

In April 2017, I tied the knot with the former Miss Delaware, Maria Cahill, and on March 19, 2019, we welcomed our beautiful daughter Pia Francesca Philomena into the world. Not long after announcing our pregnancy, there was an incident at LAX where I was charged with carrying a loaded gun in the airport. I deeply regret this unintentional act, and as a result, I was sentenced to two years of probation and 20 days of community service.

Now, as a proud father of three, I’m working alongside my good friend Selena Gomez on an exciting new spin-off series for Disney+. It’s going to be a fantastic journey!

Following her role as Harper Finkle, Alex Russo’s best friend in “The Wizards Return: Alex vs. Alex”, Jennifer Stone appeared in the 2014 Lifetime thriller “High School Possession” and portrayed the Babysitter in Nickelodeon’s series “Deadtime Stories”. In 2013, she was diagnosed with a form of adult-onset diabetes known as latent autoimmune diabetes (or Type 1.5 diabetes), and her film “The In-Between” aimed to raise awareness about this condition.

10 months old when she was cast as Charlie Duncan on Good Luck Charlie, which premiered in April 2010, Mia Talerico is now just 15 years old! Since the show ended in 2014, she’s appeared in 13 episodes of Brat’s children’s show Mani on YouTube and has her own channel featuring “unboxing” and toy review videos.

During the same time, Charlie’s second eldest sibling, Teddy Duncan, transitioned from his role in the show “Good Luck Charlie” to a more mature one when Bridgit Mendler joined the second season of NBC comedy “Undateable” in 2015. She played a significant part in two seasons of this sitcom before it was discontinued. Since then, she has made appearances in two episodes of “Nashville”, the Netflix film “Father of the Year”, and a Netflix series titled “Merry Happy Whatever”, which features Dennis Quaid and Ashley Tisdale.

It is worth noting that this actress also released two albums and furthered her education. In May 2018, she shared that she had enrolled in a graduate program at MIT. Later, in January 2019, she disclosed that she was studying at Harvard Law School. More recently, she announced that she and her engineer husband, Griffin Cleverly, adopted a 4-year-old son and established their own tech startup, Northwood Space, with the goal of constructing ground satellite stations to facilitate data transmission from space.

Since the final episode of their DCOM franchise, “The Cheetah Girls,” in 2008, Raven-Symone and Adrienne Bailon-Houghton have continued to shine in acting roles and hosting gigs. However, Kiely Williams, a former member of Adrienne’s group 3LW, has followed a slightly different path.

Following her role in “The House Bunny” in the same year, Kiely landed parts in “Elle: A Modern Cinderella Tale” (2010), “Stomp the Yard 2: Homecoming,” and “Holla II” (2013). She also tied the knot with Brandon “BJ” Cox in December 2016, with Sabrina Bryan serving as her bridesmaid. In 2017, she made a brief return to the limelight for an episode of “Celebrity Family Feud,” where she competed on the Girl Group team alongside Sabrina.

Following the airing of “Cheetah Girls: One World” in 2008, Sabrina Bryan took on the role of a correspondent for TopMob News during the eighth series of “Dancing With the Stars” in 2009 – three seasons after she had competed and was eliminated in sixth place. She revisited the dance floor as an All Star during season 15 in 2012, earning perfect scores but once again being eliminated in sixth position, exactly five years after her initial elimination.

She lent her voice to the Disney Channel animated series “Fish Hooks”, started a web series named “Dinner With Friends” with Kiely Williams in 2011, and tied the knot with strategic accounts manager Jordan Lundberg on October 6, 2018, after nine years of dating. Currently, she is reviving the magic of Disney Channel Original Movies (DCOM) with her iHeartPodcast “Magical Rewind” alongside Will Friedle.

Following his role in the beloved 1999 DCOM “Smart House,” Ryan Merriman became a regular on the network, appearing in “The Luck of the Irish” in 2001 and “A Ring of Endless Light” in 2002. Subsequently, he moved into mature roles, featuring in horror movies such as “Halloween: Resurrection,” “The Ring Two,” and “Final Destination 3.” In 2010, he landed the recurring part of Ian Thomas on “Pretty Little Liars,” appearing in 16 episodes until 2014. He also played a supporting role in the 2013 Jackie Robinson biopic “42.” Currently, his career continues, albeit with more independent projects.

In 2004, he married Micol Duncan, but they divorced in 2011. On January 1, 2012, he and Kristen McCullen announced their engagement, and they were wed in 2014.

From 1999 to 2004, Kirsten Storms was a familiar face on Disney Channel, featuring in the Zenon trilogy, Johnny Tsunami, and providing voiceovers for Kim Possible. Yet, even during this period, she started her journey towards a more mature career by joining NBC’s Days of Our Lives in 2000 for a four-year run with 410 episodes.

Following an attempt to break into primetime television with a role in the short-lived CBS baseball drama Clubhouse in 2004, she returned to soap operas in 2005 as Maxie Jones on ABC’s General Hospital, where she remains until 2023. An interesting fact is that she has starred in over 1,100 episodes!

In 2011, Storms ventured into reality TV with the short-lived TopMob series Dirty Soap, which focused on the personal lives of soap opera stars. In August 2013, she and her General Hospital co-star Brandon Barash announced they had secretly married in June and were expecting a child in January. Their daughter Harper Rose Barash was born on January 7, 2014. However, their marriage ended in divorce as they filed for separation in April 2016, citing irreconcilable differences.

In 1998, Erik von Dette gained widespread adoration as the leading actor in one of the initial Disney Channel Original Movies (DCOMs), titled “Brink!”. Subsequently, he was seen in various roles such as voice acting on “Recess”, portraying John Bryant in “The Princess Diaries”, and starring in the supernatural Disney series “So Weird” from 1999 to 2001. He also tried his hand at early reality TV, participating in the first celebrity edition of ABC’s “The Mole”. Additionally, he appeared in short-lived shows like “Dinotopia” and “Complete Savages”. His latest work was reprising his role as Sid in “Toy Story 3”, a character he had originated in the Pixar franchise back in 1995. Currently, Erik works in sales at a finance company and has two children with his wife Angela.

After starring as Ricky Ullman in the show “Phil of the Future” from 2004 to 2006, Raviv started moving towards more mature roles and made appearances on shows like “Big Love” and “House”, with his first credited role using his real name being in a 2006 episode. He then landed a series regular role on the Lifetime comedy “Rita Rocks” from 2008 to 2009. His more recent acting credits include an episode of “Broad City” in 2015 and a recurring role in the web series “Strangers” in 2018. From 2012 to 2018, he also appeared in several stage shows and was the drummer for Zoe Kravitz’s band Lolawolf from 2013 to 2014. In 2022, Raviv revealed to TopMob News that he had just completed work directing an opera at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

In the year 1999, Kimberly J. Brown gained widespread fame by portraying young witch Marnie Piper in the beloved Disney Channel Original Movie (DCOM) “Halloweentown”, opposite the esteemed Debbie Reynolds. The movie was such a success that it led to three sequels. However, in an unexpected move, the network replaced her with Sara Paxton for 2006’s “Return to Halloweentown”. Unsurprisingly, the fourth film is often considered the least popular of the series.

Her acting work beyond the franchise has been relatively limited, with roles in the 2005 film “Be Cool” and a few episodes on AMC’s canceled series “Low Winter Sun” in 2013 being among her most notable credits. She also appeared in approximately 15 episodes of “General Hospital” in 2021 and nearly 50 episodes of “Guiding Light”.

After completing college with a business degree, she started an Etsy shop called CraftilyCreative, where she sells various items including Halloweentown-themed merchandise. In 2016, she co-authored a children’s book with Diane Yslas, titled “Poppin’s Pumpkin Patch Parade”.

Disney enthusiasts were thrilled when she began dating her “Halloweentown” costar Daniel Kountz, who proposed in 2022.

Between 2006 and 2011, Mitchel Musso portrayed Oliver Oken, one of Miley Stewart’s (Miley Cyrus) best friends on the show “Hannah Montana”. As the series was coming to an end, he had a thriving career in Disney, landing a leading role in a new series called “Pair of Kings” and hosting “PrankStars”. However, when he was stopped by police on October 17, 2011, suspected of driving under the influence while underage (he was 20), he was removed from “Pair of Kings” and his prank show was canceled. Following this incident, he worked on independent films and provided voice work for the Disney XD series “Milo Murphy’s Law”.

In 2023, he was apprehended in Texas for public intoxication and theft.

Although Jason Earles portrayed Miley’s older brother Jackson Stewart on Hannah Montana, who was written as a high school student in the first season, he was 29 when the show initially aired and 34 by its conclusion. Afterwards, he moved onto Disney XD comedy Kickin’ It, where he starred as Rudy, a character more fitting for his real age, until the series ended in March 2015. Since 2018, Earles has been acting on Brat series Hotel Du Loone, available on YouTube, and also joined the third season of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. In August 2017, he married his girlfriend Katie Drysen.

Since portraying younger brother Cory Baxter on That’s So Raven from 2003 to 2007, Kyle Massey went on to star in his own spinoff series, Cory in the House, which aired until 2008. He later made appearances on shows like The Electric Company, Gotham, and Being Mary Jane. Additionally, he lent his voice to animated series such as Fish Hooks, Mighty Magiswords, and Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Kyle also participated in season 11 of Dancing With the Stars and a 2017 episode of Celebrity Family Feud opposite Jennie Garth.

Rumors circulated in 2018 that he would join the cast of The Hills: New Beginnings, but these turned out to be false. Kyle himself referred to them as “fake news.”

In 2021, Kyle was charged with a felony for allegedly engaging in improper communication with a minor girl. At the time, his lawyer stated, “It is unfortunate that Kyle Massey learned through the media yesterday that the 2019 allegations have resurfaced in the State of Washington a year after their dismissal.” The actor claims that the allegations are extortionate.

The attorney added, “Massey intends to aggressively defend these accusations again and will seek civil damages from those who refuse to hear the facts. We plan to seek an early dismissal—finally putting these extortive attempts to rest.

Following his roles as Twitty on Even Stevens from 2000 to 2003 and Josh Mankey in several Kim Possible episodes, A.J. Trauth graced numerous TV shows like 7th Heaven, House, Ghost Whisperer, CSI, and Bones (and others) until 2012. Since then, he’s been featured in some independent films and has provided voiceovers for video games such as Wolfenstein: The New Order and its sequel, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. In February 2014, A.J. got engaged to actress Leah Pipes, his girlfriend for nearly three years, and they married that December. However, their marriage ended by 2019.

As the beloved character Ren Stevens on Even Stevens, Kim Possible, and Cadet Kelly in the DCOM Cadet Kelly, I, Christy Carlson Romano, ventured into Broadway, performing in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast for 31 weeks as Belle in 2004. I returned to the theater district in 2008, joining the cast of Avenue Q.

In 2007, I penned a novel titled Grace’s Turn, directed a film named Christmas All Over Again in 2016, and earned a degree in Film Studies from Barnard College. I tied the knot with writer-producer Brendan Rooney on December 31, 2013, and we are blessed with two daughters, the youngest born in February 2019.

I reconnected with the network that catapulted me to fame in 2019, appearing in the live-action Kim Possible film as pop star Poppy Blu. In May 2019, I shared my struggles following years as a network star in an impactful essay for Teen Vogue. “My life was not always as perfect or put-together as it might appear based on my success during my young adulthood,” I admitted. “During a challenging period in my life, I battled depression, alcohol, and more, searching for solutions to ease my emotional turmoil.

In the year 1999, Brandon Baker first appeared in DCOM (Disney Channel Original Movie) as the leading character of Johnny Tsunami. Following this film, he had occasional roles, including stints on Even Stevens and more mature shows like Boston Public and The Unit, while he was studying at UC Santa Barbara.

In 2007, he reprised his role from the movie that launched his Disney career in Johnny Kapahala: Back on Board’s sequel. Since then, he has been seen in two independent films. One of these, The Formula, featured Family Matters’ Reginald VelJohnson as a co-star. Another, Up on the Wooftop, had Dennis Haskins from Saved By the Bell, playing Santa Claus. Of course.

In the year 2001, Alana Austin played the lead role in the Disney Channel Original Movie (DCOM) titled “Motocrossed.” She portrayed Andrea “Andi” Carson, a teenager who adores motocross but is forbidden from participating. After her twin brother gets hurt prior to a major race, she conceals her identity and starts racing instead.

Following the release of this film, Austin made several guest appearances on shows such as “7th Heaven,” “Boston Public,” and “Cold Case.” However, she decided to leave acting behind entirely in 2006. It has been reported that she pursued a degree in medicine at USC. In April 2016, when asked about her current activities on Twitter by a fan, she responded that she was focusing on writing and added that acting always held a special place in her heart.

Following her consistent role in the show “Phil of the Future“, Kay Panabaker found herself frequently seen on the Disney Channel, appearing in movies like “Life is Ruff” and “Read It and Weep“, alongside her sister Danielle Panabaker. They also participated together in the first Disney Channel Games of 2006. Later, she shifted her focus to more mature roles, starring in the remake of “Fame” in 2009 and the ABC series “No Ordinary Family“, but by 2012 she decided to leave acting behind. Instead, she pursued a different path and studied zoology at UCLA. In 2016, she was working as an animal caretaker at none other than Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
