At a resolution of 1440p, you can anticipate approximately a 20% boost in performance compared to the 7900 GRE. This increase is significant in terms of raw performance, but does not account for any enhancements provided by FSR 4.
The Radeon RX 9070 XT was introduced as “the world’s best graphics cards under $600.”
When it comes to 4K gaming with top settings and no FSR 4, the new model offers a potential improvement of up to 42%. At 1440p resolution, the boost is still significant, amounting to approximately 38%. In comparison to the 7900 GRE, these figures suggest superior performance.
When FSR 4 is activated, the RX 9070 XT noticeably outperforms the 7900 GRE by roughly three to four times in terms of efficiency.

The RTX 5080 itself goes as high as $1,650, which is dangerously close to the RTX 5090’s MSRP.
What is AMD RDNA 4?
RDNA 4 is AMD’s latest GPU architecture, and it’s the successor to RDNA 3 which launched in 2022.
