American Idol’s Lauren Alaina Expecting First Baby

Lauren Alaina is on the hunt for some little cowboy boots.

The contestant from “American Idol” who came in second place to Scotty McCreery during season 10 is preparing for her first child alongside her husband, Cam Arnold. She recently announced this exciting development in the music video for her song “Those Kind of Women.

In an interview with People on January 22nd, Lauren expressed that the influential figures in her life were primarily the women who brought her up. She was fortunate to grow up surrounded by many strong and impactful women. During the creation of this particular song, she wasn’t expecting a child or even contemplating pregnancy.

However, during the recording of the music video, it presented an ideal moment for her to display her expanding baby bump, as well as honoring those who significantly impacted her upbringing. Now that she’s pregnant herself, the “Road Less Traveled” artist expressed how profoundly her pregnancy has transformed her life.

She said, “I didn’t realize I could have such strong feelings for something I haven’t physically possessed yet. Yet, I can feel the baby moving inside me, and it’s active, just as if I was the Grinch and my heart had suddenly grown larger.

For the newlyweds that exchanged vows in Nashville about a year back, this fresh phase in life has fortified their bond even more.

On the day we got married, my affection for him blossomed even more, and when I discovered we were expecting a child together, it was simply indescribable. Sharing this life journey with him has been nothing short of amazing. (Georgia native)

As I eagerly anticipate the journey ahead, I can’t help but express my excitement about witnessing my husband transition into fatherhood. His deep-rooted affection for our furry companions is a testament to his nurturing nature. In fact, one of the most appealing aspects of becoming his wife was knowing we would share the beautiful experience of parenthood together.

However, as Cam displays his newfound role as a father, Lauren finds herself reflecting on her own deceased father, who unexpectedly left us in July.

While witnessing the joy of fatherhood in Cam, Lauren’s thoughts involuntarily wander to her late father, who left us so abruptly in July.

She expressed that she believes her father has passed away and is now in heaven, where he communicated something like, “Let’s find a way to send the family some good news down here.” This unexpected blessing has been incredibly healing for us. Although we continue to discuss and cope with the grief of my dad, this new baby serves as a small part of him that will endure.
