Amy Robach & T.J. Holmes’ Exes Make Red Carpet Debut After Divorces

As a seasoned observer of the tumultuous world of celebrity relationships, I must say that the love story between Amy Robach and TJ Holmes is a captivating rollercoaster ride. What makes their journey particularly intriguing is not just the high-profile nature of their careers or the controversy that swirled around them, but the resilience they’ve shown in the face of adversity.

Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes‘ ex-spouses, Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig, have reached an important stage in their relationship.

On December 3rd, the former star of Melrose Place and the lawyer appeared together on the red carpet for the first time. Exactly a year prior, both had started dating and finalized their divorces from the ex-co-anchors of GMA3.

57-year-old Shue and 47-year-old Fiebig graced the 2024 Grassroot Soccer World AIDS Day Gala held in New York City. On this occasion, the actor donned a sleek black suit without a tie, while his companion elegantly wore a stylish black silk gown.

In December 2023, it was reported by various sources that Shue and Fiebig, who had both finalized their divorces earlier in the year, were now in a relationship.

Robach and Holmes, parents of an 11-year-old daughter named Sabine with Fiebig, created a stir when whispers of their romantic involvement began in November 2022, even though they were both still married at that time. They made their relationship official a month later, and then in January 2023, ABC News revealed that the duo would be departing from ‘GMA3’ and the network as a whole.

Following numerous fruitful discussions with Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes about various possibilities, we collectively decided that it would be in everyone’s best interest for them to depart from ABC News, as stated by a representative of our organization to TopMob News on January 27th. We appreciate their skills and dedication over the years and are grateful for the valuable contributions they have made to our team.

In December 2023, Robach, who has two daughters from her previous marriage to Tim McIntosh, appeared on the red carpet alongside Holmes for the first time at iHeartRadio’s KIIS-FM Jingle Ball. Following this event, they addressed the criticism and negative reactions towards their relationship, which Holmes described as a “tumultuous year.

The 47-year-old clarified during their new podcast, Amy & T.J., that they had been revealed to be in a relationship, but there was a misunderstanding; people assumed they were being exposed for infidelity or cheating on their partners, which wasn’t true.

The two said they were both separated from their spouses at the time they began their relationship.

Robach, at 51, shared that it was an open secret among our close group that he was going through a divorce. I removed my wedding ring as early as August, making it evident to those who knew me well that I was in the midst of a divorce. T.J., on the other hand, is more reserved about his personal life and opted to keep this information private.

Look back at Robach and Holmes’ romance…

Following her appointment to the ABC morning show in 2012, Amy Robach assumed the role of host for the time slot following Good Morning America, as the Pandemic: What You Need to Know series was rebranded into GMA3: What You Need to Know.

T.J. Holmes, who joined ABC News back in 2014 and developed a strong friendship with Robach, subsequently got appointed as her co-host.

In an interview with “People”, Robach stated, “I couldn’t have asked a more suitable person for their opinion, because for the past five years, we’ve been brainstorming ways to collaborate.

Holmes remarked, “He feels like my brother, and I find we can complete each other’s thoughts. Our connection is strong. It’s a joy to work with someone who embodies trust, a bond that isn’t always found on set. I can count on him, and he knows I’ve got his back just as strongly.

Additionally, Robach mentioned they frequently had double outings with Holmes and his spouse, Marilee Fiebig, as their companions.

Robach, Shue, and Holmes participated in the United NYC Half Marathon, and afterwards, Holmes mentioned on GMA3 that it was his fellow anchor who inspired him to take part in the event.

Robach remarked to her coworker, who had crossed the finish line before her, “You seemed to enjoy it as well,” and added with a nod towards TJ, “Just wanted to mention, TJ managed to beat me.

Holmes modestly concurred.

“We were running together,” he said. “And I ended up a second ahead, officially.”

In this instance, Holmes and Robach participated in the New York City Marathon jointly, whereas Shue was conspicuously absent.

Later on, Robach disclosed that even though her separation from Shue was a done deal at that point, she hadn’t made their split public knowledge yet. However, it wasn’t as if she was intentionally keeping the news under wraps.

She clarified on her podcast, Amy and T.J., that it was an open secret among our close group that she was going through a divorce. I removed my wedding ring in early August, making it evident to anyone familiar with me that I was undergoing a separation. T.J., being more reserved than I am, opted to keep this matter private and didn’t share it with the group.

In an unexpected twist, the news anchors unwittingly transitioned into being the focus of the story themselves when the Daily Mail released photos and videos showing them growing close on various outings – such as a dinner in New York City and a trip to Upstate New York. These snapshots were taken during a time when both appeared to still be married to their respective partners.

Following the publicity surrounding rumors of their affair, the anchors on GMA3 temporarily disabled their individual Instagram profiles. Shue additionally erased all images of Robach from his personal Instagram account.

Upon their return to work on December 1st, it is said that Robach and Holmes appeared together, presenting as a seemingly romantic pair.

And the following day, the GMA3 hosts alluded to the drama that was percolating behind the scenes.

Holmes commented during the program, “I wish it wasn’t Friday,” expressing his desire for the excellent week to continue indefinitely.

Eventually, their partnership was temporarily paused for an internal probe into their romantic involvement, leading to its abrupt conclusion.

As a dedicated follower at ABC News, I recognize that the ongoing news coverage may sometimes divert attention from the critical work we’re diligently engaged in here. This was expressed by our esteemed President, Kim Godwin, in a recent memo to staff members on December 12th. She also mentioned that for the present moment, there will be a rotation of anchors at GMA3.

Godwin emphasized, “I truly hope we’ll keep honing our skills in areas where we excel. Let me assure everyone that I am incredibly proud of the dedication and expertise you’ve shown.

Holmes filed for divorce from Fiebig after nearly 13 years of marriage.

The couple, parents of a 10-year-old girl named Sabine, had quietly parted ways, as per Holmes’ statement. He explained that he didn’t immediately disclose his relationship with Robach due to the fact that he was still working through the implications of their separation within his family circle.

Holmes clarified on the first episode of the Amy & T.J. podcast that his daughter, who is 10 years old, was still getting accustomed to the new situation following their separation.

Speaking as a lifestyle authority, I’d share that, in my personal experience, I found myself in a situation where I had yet to discuss my separation from a significant other with my mother, before news of my new relationship surfaced publicly.

I’ve been pondering over this thought, wondering if I should share it with the executive and the network. But if I do, here’s what I have in mind.” or “I find myself considering discussing this with an executive and the network. However, looking back, perhaps we made a misstep.

2023 saw me, being a fervent admirer, officially part ways with Holmes and Fiebig – a decision that came about following the public display of her ex’s questionable judgment in his new love affair. The finalization of our divorce in October marked the end of an era, leaving me eagerly anticipating what the future may hold for both parties.

ABC News confirmed that Robach and Holmes had exited the company in a Jan. 27 statement.

Following various fruitful discussions with Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes regarding various possibilities, it was decided by all parties that it would be most beneficial for everyone if they left ABC News, according to a representative from the organization who spoke to TopMob News previously. We acknowledge their talent and dedication over the years and are grateful for their valuable contributions.

Prior to making their relationship official, the couple was frequently seen together during the holiday season. They were spotted at the Atlanta airport, where Holmes was pictured with his arms around Amy while they both wheeled their luggage. Furthermore, they appeared to solidify their romance with a passionate kiss in Miami over New Year’s Eve.

Separated since the previous summer, Robach and Shue’s divorce was finalized.

In February 2010, they tied the knot, marking the second wedding for both Robach and the former Melrose Place star.

From 1996 to 2008, Robach was married to Tim McIntosh, with whom she has daughters Ava and Analise. On the other hand, Shue is a father to Nate, Aidan, and Wyatt from his union with Jennifer Hageney. Together with Robach, he wrote the 2021 children’s book “Better Together!”, which explores their experiences of blending their families.

As a devoted admirer, I’ve been eagerly observing their bond for nearly a year now, and just recently, they took the significant step of confirming their relationship publicly on Instagram.

On October 23rd, Holmes shared multiple pictures on social media showing him and Robach enjoying some close moments at the University of Arkansas Razorbacks game, where he had returned as an alumnus.

As a committed devotee, I too posted snapshots from our recent gathering on my Instagram, featuring a picture of the reserved seating signs we encountered along the way.

“Hog for a night,” the University of Georgia alum captioned the post. “Dawg for life “#truelove.”

At Jingle Ball 2023, Robach and Holmes stepped onto the red carpet together for the first time, expressing their holiday cheer as a couple.

At the concert, Robach opted for a sleek black leather mini dress without straps, while Holmes chose a dapper black velvet tuxedo sans tie. Not holding back, they openly displayed affection as they struck poses for photos, with Robach even posting a video of Holmes humorously placing a toy animal on her torso, which caused her to giggle.

Four days prior to unveiling our cherished iHeartRadio podcast, Amy & T.J, my heart pounded with excitement as we savored an enchanting date night filled with festivities!

In the first episode of their new podcast, titled “Amy & T.J.“, Robach and Holmes decided to speak openly for the first time regarding the scandal, discussing private aspects of their relationship.

Holmes clarified, “It appeared we were exposed as a couple,” he said, “but what people mistakenly assumed was that we were being accused of infidelity, of cheating on our partners. However, an unusual circumstance arises: the day those photos were taken and the day the article came out, we had already initiated divorce proceedings.

Besides discussing the impact of the controversy on them personally, the pair shared their experiences. Robach specifically mentioned an incident where she hurried to Holmes’ residence following a worrying text he sent, expressing he didn’t feel like getting up. This sentiment resonated with her personally as well.

She conveyed, “Who’s got my back now? Who’s still standing by me? Will I find work again? Can I regain trust again?” were some of the questions she pondered. “Will people understand what truly transpired rather than what’s been written or said? These were challenges we faced, and I must admit, I felt incredibly fortunate that we had each other.

It was revealed on the very same day as when their ex-spouses started a new podcast, several sources announced that Shue and Fiebig are now in a romantic relationship.
