Amy Slaton Shares Eyebrow-Raising Inspiration Behind Her Kids' Names

As I delve into the vibrant lives of the TLC stars, the dynamic duo of Tammy and Amy, I can’t help but be moved by their resilience and determination. Their journey is a testament to the human spirit, filled with challenges, triumphs, and an unwavering bond that only sisters can share.

Amy Slaton isn’t afraid to go dark with baby names.

During the special preview of TopMob News for the Dec. 10 episode of 1000-Lb. Sisters, the TLC star, who is a mother to sons Gage (4) and Glenn (2), both named after horror character types, shared this fact with viewers about her children’s unique names, as reported by her ex-husband Michael Halterman.

It appears that Amy may have drawn inspiration from children portrayed as eerie figures in well-known works of art. Interestingly, the character Gage from Stephen King’s novel “Pet Sematary” shares a name with a murderous child, while the offspring of the demonic duo Chucky and Tiffany from the 2004 horror film “Seed of Chucky” is named Glen.

However, Amy’s passion for all things horror isn’t limited to familiar names. On a haunted tour in London, she eagerly seized the opportunity to encounter a supposedly cursed painting up close.

“I’ll touch it,” she quipped in TopMob News’ sneak peek. “I ain’t scared.”

On the contrary, her sister, known as Tammy Slaton, who similarly harbors a fascination with the supernatural, flat-out refused to get close to the painting.

“There’s something cursed on that,” Tammy cautioned. “Like, bad.”

Similarly, Chris Combs, their brother, showed no interest in the painting whatsoever. In fact, he excused himself from the room even before the art piece was introduced.

He mentioned in a private conversation that his sisters often engage in strange behavior. To him, it doesn’t seem to make any logical sense whatsoever.

As for other hobbies? The Slaton sisters recently dipped their toes in burlesque dancing.

Previously shown, Tammy (aged 38) and Amy (aged 37) sought guidance from a pole-dancing teacher, aiming to embrace their fresh figures after shedding pounds individually.

Tammy made a joke, saying, ‘Don’t treat me like a pole.’ She clarified, ‘I’m not a stripper, and if I were, the pole wouldn’t be able to handle me.’
