An 8-Year-Old Stole Mom’s Car for a Target Run—& Won Over the Internet

As a seasoned shopper who has navigated countless aisles of Target over the years, I can wholeheartedly empathize with this young girl’s determination and passion for the retail giant. In my prime shopping years, I too have been known to drive great distances just to get my hands on the perfect pair of shoes or a hidden gem in the clearance section.

Nothing comes between a girl and her Target run.

To put it simply, a young girl aged 8 from Bedford, Ohio gained widespread attention when she took her parents’ 2020 Nissan Rogue and drove it for approximately 11 miles to reach a department store, a journey that usually takes around 25 minutes from their residence.

At last, we’ve come across a woman who outpaces my wife in her eagerness for Target shopping, by a whopping 8 years! Yes, an 8-year-old girl drove mommy’s car this morning and headed to Target in Bainbridge. Fortunately, she arrived safely and was swiftly found by the Bainbridge Police.

The police department confirmed she was home safe, and joked about the state in which they found her.  same graf  “We did let her finish her Frappuccino,” the post finished. “We’re not mean.”

As stated in a report from Today, the police department of Bedford received an emergency call around 9 a.m. on September 15th. The family mentioned that they hadn’t seen their 8-year-old child for about two hours before this call.

A neighbor is said to have handed over video footage from their Ring doorbell, which depicted a young girl entering the family’s car around 7 a.m. Subsequently, the authorities started looking for the vehicle and found it in a Target parking lot, about 11 miles southwest of the family’s residence, according to the police report.

The police reported that they discovered the girl within the store and that she had collided with a mailbox while fleeing, resulting in slight damage to a vehicle.

Naturally, social media became a frenzy upon hearing the story.

One user on X suggested that perhaps there’s no need to feel so anxious about driving, considering an eight-year-old was able to make a 25-minute trip to the nearby Target.

Meanwhile, others were in awe, with another user calling her “This diva.”

Another described the situation adding, “I have to stan!”

Wrote another, “Sometimes you really just need a mental health trip to Target,” while someone else chimed in with, “A girl and a Target run. A lifelong friendship.”

In a nutshell, similar to many trips to Target, she ended up purchasing items that weren’t essential, yet felt compelled to buy them.

To put it simply, a user expressed that they found the problem under discussion rather late.
