Season 2 of the series “Andor” has commenced with a bang, promising to delve further into the Empire’s deceit and the selfless acts required to sustain the Rebellion. The upcoming episodes are structured into four segments, with each set of three episodes covering one year in Cassian Andor’s life as well as the development of the Rebel Alliance. This narrative will seamlessly transition into the events portrayed in “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”, ultimately leading up to the original 1977 “Star Wars” movie.

In the first three installments of ‘Andor’ season 2, which takes place four years prior to the Battle of Yavin, we witness the lives of those who survived Ferrix, the Empire’s schemes for Ghorman, Cassian’s daring attempt to acquire a lethal TIE-Fighter prototype, and how Mon Mothma’s dedication to the Rebellion has compelled her daughter into an unwanted marriage. So far, ‘Andor’ season 2 hasn’t shied away from portraying the grim realities of an oppressive rule, with future episodes promising to delve even deeper into these themes.

What Time Will Andor Season 2’s Next Episodes Release On Disney+?

Each week, fresh installments of “Andor” are debuted on Tuesdays, only on Disney+. Starting from April 29, episodes 4 to 6 will become available at 9 PM Eastern Time and 6 PM Pacific Time for North American viewers. For European audiences, the episodes will be available at 2 AM British Summer Time and 3 AM Central European Summer Time on Wednesday, April 30. The titles of these episodes have not been disclosed as of now.

What To Expect From Andor Season 2’s Next Arc

In the upcoming season 2 of ‘Andor’, creator Tony Gilroy has hinted that a significant event called the Ghorman Massacre will be a key focus, spanning over five episodes. Since Ben Mendelsohn’s character Director Krennic reappears in the first episode and convenes an Imperial meeting to discuss a forced invasion of Ghorman for its rich resources, it can be anticipated that the looming Ghorman Massacre will likely be a primary storyline in the next three episodes, taking place in 3BBY.

This could involve discussing the expansion of the Empire’s mining activities on Ghorman, the impact on the planet’s ecosystem, and the severe implications of the Empire’s intended excavation, which were a major topic in Krennic’s meeting. It also includes exploring the galaxy’s reaction to the Empire’s treatment of protestors on Ghorman. This will pave the way for the Empire’s eventual escalation of violence. The Ghorman Massacre is not depicted until 2 Before the Battle of Yavin (2BBY), which will be addressed in Andor season 2’s third three-episode arc.

In the series “Star Wars Rebels”, it is clear that the Ghorman Massacre significantly influenced Mon Mothma’s rebellion history. This tragic event was the catalyst that compelled her to openly criticize Emperor Palpatine and abandon the Imperial Senate to lead the burgeoning Rebel Alliance. As a result, we can expect to witness Mon’s emotional response to Ghorman’s worsening condition as well.

Since there is a one-year time jump between episodes 1-3 and 4-6 of “Andor”, it will be both intriguing and sad to observe the evolution in the dynamics among the survivors of Ferrix, particularly after their harrowing experiences on Mina-Rau. This transformation will be especially noticeable following Bix Caleen’s trauma and Brasso’s death, which occurred during the premiere of “Andor” season 2.
