For Angelina Jolie, loving her kids is eternal.
On March 1st, the actress demonstrated her affectionate backing for her daughter Zahara by joining her at a mother-daughter brunch held in Montgomery, Alabama. Remarkably, the 20-year-old took center stage to deliver a speech at the Women in Training, Inc.’s charity event.
In the photographs, Zahara, a student at Spelman College, stepped forward to the stage where she offered some insightful remarks while Angelina watched approvingly from the audience.
The twosome, attired in entirely white, additionally joined forces with other attendees at the charity event organized by teenage entrepreneurs Breanna and Brooke Bennett, aiming to eradicate menstrual hardships.
Support for Zahara is mutual, as Angelina regularly takes her children along for high-profile social events, with Zahara attending the Golden Globes alongside Angelina in January. Notably, Angelina was nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama at that awards ceremony.
More recently, the actress known as Maria has returned to the spotlight following a brief hiatus from acting. During her current journey through the awards season, she’s been accompanied by her children – Maddox (23), Pax (21), Zahara (18), Shiloh (16), and twins Knox and Vivienne (both 16) – who were also in tow with their father, ex-partner Brad Pitt.
In January at the Golden Globes broadcasted by TopMob, Angelina expressed joyfully, “Now I’m here with my daughter, which means I’m here as a mom. That makes things unique.
Regarding Angelina’s reappearance on-screen, it was primarily influenced by the fact that her six children had grown up and were navigating their teenage and young adult years.
She shared with The Hollywood Reporter over the summer that her children are growing up and becoming more independent, reducing her need to be present all the time. This allows her to take extended breaks, she added. Moreover, her children have reached an age where they can accompany her to work. She expressed enthusiasm about this new phase in their lives, as her children are blossoming into their individuality day by day.
But don’t expect for them to be following in her footsteps in front of the camera.
On Good Morning America in November, Angelina shared that her kids prefer not to be in the spotlight right now. They value their privacy.
“They weren’t born with privacy, right?” she continued. “I hope they can have that as they grow.”
