Angelina Jolie Joined by Daughter Zahara at Palm Springs Film Festival

Angelina Jolie made the 2025 Palm Springs International Film Festival a family affair.

At a glamorous gathering in Southern California on January 3rd, the Oscar winner was accompanied by her eldest daughter, Zahara Marley Jolie (who is also Brad Pitt’s child from their marriage), as her date. Notably, this event occurred just three days after the former pair finalized their divorce, marking the end of an over eight-year legal dispute between them.

At the festival, Angelina Jolie, aged 49, donned a sophisticated black dress featuring a halter neckline, whereas Zahara Jolie-Pitt, at 19 years old, made an entrance in a stylish white gown with partial sleeves, cutouts, and a draped neckline.

At the Palm Springs International Film Awards, Jolie was bestowed with the Desert Palm Achievement Award for Actress, honoring her portrayal of opera singer Maria Callas in Pablo Larraín’s latest biopic titled “Maria”.

The actress, known for accompanying Zahara and her other children Maddox (23), Pax (21), Shiloh (18), and twins Vivienne and Knox to high-profile events, acknowledged her kids during her award acceptance speech.

The actress, who has accompanied Zahara as well as their other children Maddox, Pax, Shiloh, and twins Vivienne and Knox to star-studded occasions previously, acknowledged them in her award acceptance speech.

There were two women, one was Maria and the other was Callas. However, it was Callas who was adored. Yet, Maria often felt lonely,” she explained about the singer’s personal voyage. “But now I feel good because when I step off this stage, I feel more like myself due to you, Zahara, and your family. I love you all.

At the upcoming 2025 Golden Globe Awards on January 5th, Jolie is nominated for Best Actress in a Drama Motion Picture – a category she’s up for due to her role in “Maria”. It’s worth mentioning that this isn’t her first time being nominated; she has previously won three Golden Globes, with her most recent victory coming in 2000 for her part in “Girl, Interrupted”, a role that also earned her an Oscar.

Besides Jolie, other stars celebrated at the Palm Springs International Film Festival were also Nicole Kidman, winning the International Star Award for her role in “Babygirl,” Adrien Brody receiving the Desert Palm Achievement Award (Actor) for his work in “The Brutalist,” and Ariana Grande, who was given the Rising Star Award for her portrayal of Glinda in “Wicked.
