Despite losing her home in the California wildfires earlier this year, Anna Faris remains full of warmth and spirit.
In an exclusive chat with TopMob News, Anna expressed during the interview that she and her son Jack, who’s 12 and shares with her ex-husband Chris Pratt, are part of a large group. However, they feel incredibly blessed to be safe and surrounded by a great deal of support.
But among the losses Anna is mourning are some keepsakes from film sets, including The House Bunny.
She humorously mentioned, “It’s peculiar, yet I can’t help but notice – I used to own every shoe from that film, but now they’ve mysteriously vanished. However, I understand it’s just material possessions and sentimental value. And I’m grateful because it seems they’ll be reappearing in a new location someday.
Through it all, the 48-year-old has done her best to put herself in Jack’s shoes.
Anna remarked, ‘He dealt with our house fire with such resilience and pragmatism.’ To me, this demonstrates his strength and level-headedness.
As a lifestyle expert, I’d like to share a heartwarming experience that often fills me with pride as a parent. It’s those instances when my preteen, in their unique and wonderful way, demonstrates maturity beyond their years. In Anna’s words, these moments are not only numerous but also incredibly special.
When he seeks my advice or shares his trust with me, which happens rarely, I feel an overwhelming sense of emotional appreciation and validation, as if I’m on the right track. – Anna
Or:
When he confides in me or asks for my guidance, it’s a rare occurrence but it always fills me with a deep sense of gratitude and reassurance that I must be doing something right. – Anna
Occasionally, she rewards herself for her parenting skills. She often wonders, as any parent might, “Am I providing good direction? Am I establishing a strong foundation for my child?” These signs, to her, confirm that she is on the right track. And she is very proud of him.
If he requires guidance on everyday issues, she stands ready to lend a hand. Her recollections of cleaning the family bathroom with a toothbrush sparked her enthusiasm to collaborate with Scrubbing Bubbles for a campaign, where she assumed the role of a corporate recruiter named Grace, who is offering what seems like the simplest job available.
She shared that she believes her voice is quite unique, and she posed questions to some unaware individuals, such as “Have you ever used a restroom?”. When someone is asked something like that in earnest, it can be quite challenging. However, they ended up laughing throughout the entire day.
Working with Leslie Mann, Michelle Buteau, and Isla Fisher on the upcoming film “Spa Weekend” felt just as harmonious.
Anna raved about the filming experience, saying it surpassed her expectations. She believes it reflects a shared sentiment among everyone involved – a strong desire to connect and uplift each other. This aspect has been truly remarkable, particularly in these times.
Plus, there’s the added level of fun of bringing together four comedic actresses.
Anna remarked, “It’s incredibly amusing, it brings out the humor in us all and makes us more open. There’s also a sense of comfort and security. We’ve developed such a strong connection, one I haven’t felt quite like this before. It’s truly remarkable.
