Developer Steph Thirion, along with publisher Annapurna Interactive, has unveiled “Faraway”, an immersive audiovisual journey where you guide a fading shooting star. I will exist to witness the grand expanse of the universe.” Faraway is an engaging, equally soothing and demanding, audiovisual adventure that involves creating constellations through procedural generation.

In this game, you’ll find yourself in a solo adventure, guiding a shooting star that’s on the brink of disappearing. To keep itself alive, it gathers energy from other stars by forming constellations. Your task is to master the graceful movements of swinging and slingshotting around these stars, all while crafting an energy thread and linking it to them.

Faraway has a randomly generated core mode, and 16 puzzle stages.

In the primary gameplay mode, each session begins anew with a fresh, dynamically generated world that adapts in real-time according to the player’s skill level. This enables seasoned players to rapidly progress towards higher scores and tougher challenges. Players are given full autonomy in designing their own constellations, while performing specific actions such as creating loops can provide additional energy and points.

Exploring the different phases of the 16 puzzle offers fresh perspectives on the game’s dynamics, helping you master the fundamental aspects more effectively.
