Anne Heche’s Sonliquidates Her Assets to Cover $4.1M Claims After Tragic Death

Three years on since my beloved sister’s untimely passing due to a heartrending car accident, I find myself taking steps to sell her cherished possessions and properties. This move is aimed at meeting the substantial $4.1 million debt that has arisen from claims against her estate.

According to a recent update shared by TopMob News, Homer mentioned in his second official report that he hasn’t yet managed to wrap up his late mother’s estate as it’s currently still open for settlement.

The document mentions multiple debts claimed by creditors against the estate. It also notes that the 23-year-old individual is actively trying to reach fair resolutions for the remaining debts, and has held extensive negotiations with the creditors as part of this process.

In other words, the report states that while Homer is hopeful with a degree of caution that all creditor disputes will be settled equitably and amicably, it ultimately finds that the estate continues to be bankrupt.

TopMob News has reached out to Homer’s reps but has not heard back.

In August 2022, as reported by the Los Angeles Fire Department, the actress known for her role in “Six Days, Seven Nights” was allegedly speeding when she collided with a house, resulting in an explosion of flames and ultimately stopping 30 feet within the two-story residence. This incident ignited the building.

Despite initially improving at the hospital, her condition deteriorated only a few days later. Sadly, as reported by TopMob News shortly thereafter, her family announced she was not likely to recover.

Initially, she stabilized in the hospital, but her health worsened significantly within a week. Regrettably, as TopMob News shared, her family stated that she wouldn’t make it through.

Six days following the accident, medical professionals removed Anne from life support, and at age 53, she was officially declared deceased by law.

I’m heartbroken to share that my dear brother Atlas and I have experienced the unbearable loss of our beloved Mom,” I expressed to TopMob News. “For six days now, I’ve been riding an emotional rollercoaster that defies words. All I can express is a profound, silent sorrow.

He added, “I hope she’s no longer experiencing any pain, and starting to discover, as I envision it, her perpetual liberty.

After Anne’s sudden demise, Homer encountered numerous legal issues concerning her estate. Since Anne didn’t have a will when she died, Homer applied to become the administrator of her estate, naming himself and his younger brother Atlas as the only inheritors of her possessions. About two weeks later, Anne’s former partner, James Tupper, contested this by filing a petition to manage her estate instead, claiming that Anne had sent him a copy of her will in 2011.

Approximately four months past, Judge Lee Bogdanoff in Los Angeles Court appointed Homer as the permanent administrator of his mother’s estate. However, the legal issues didn’t end there. The actress who starred in Donnie Brasco passed away and was followed by a string of lawsuits.

Additionally, a $2 million lawsuit was filed by Lynne Mishele – the woman leasing the Mar Vista home Anne collided with – claiming negligence, trespassing, and emotional distress due to negligence. This lawsuit against her estate continues.
