On April 21, Aggro Crab will unveil the “Another Crab’s Treasure” update, titled “Year of the Crab,” for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC. The update will also be available on Switch shortly after this date, according to the developer’s announcement.
Furthermore, Aggro Crab has disclosed their intention to launch real-world versions of Another Crab’s Treasure for PlayStation 5 and Switch, both coming with the complete game and additional content, in the year 2025 through distributor iam8bit.
Here is an overview of the update, via Aggro Crab:
New Game Plus
Since our initial launch, the community has consistently asked for “New Game Plus.” The extraordinary reception of our game eventually necessitated its creation. I’m thrilled to announce that we’ve finally delivered on this popular request!
Instead of merely increasing enemy difficulty by bumping up stats, we’ve taken the time to create new moves for our bosses, introduce fresh items, and revamp nearly every enemy interaction in the game. You’ll be able to enhance your fork and increase your stowaway capacity even further. Ever dreamt of having FOUR stowaway slots? New Game Plus (NG+) offers just that! Additionally, NG+ introduces unique stowaways called Sigils.

From any Moon Snail Shell in your gameplay, re-engage and defeat any previously vanquished bosses at your leisure. As for bosses, let’s just say they’re waiting with bated breath to test your mettle again!
Boss Rush Mode
Topoda now offers Boss Rush challenges – with a variety of themed sequential fights.

New Costumes
It seems I must share a sneak peek before proceeding, so here’s a glimpse of Pretty Princess Kril:
Museum Bestiary
As a gamer, I’m thrilled that my favorite gaming hub has reopened! Inside, there’s a dynamic showcase of every foe I conquer on my epic adventure. It’s like having a trophy room for my victories!
One New Boss Fight
I’m not going to betray you, but let me assure you that this situation calls for a justified response. My boss truly has earned it.
Community Updates
Because many people have requested it, we’re not only including new achievements, but also community trading cards! Take a look at one of these sneak previews:
