It appears that the keen-eyed site, Gematsu, has found a Taiwanese rating for the movie WALL-E. Likely, this title is set to join the collection of emulated classics in PS Plus Premium down the line.
There’s some ambiguity about whether this game is for the PlayStation 2 or the PlayStation Portable, but considering historical patterns, it seems more likely that it will be the handheld version.
In essence, Wall-E, a well-known Pixar film character, is transformed into an engaging 3D puzzle platform game experience where you control the titular robot. Notably, the PS2 and PSP adaptations were crafted by Asobo Studio, who have recently produced A Plague Tale: Requiem and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
It’s clear that there are many superior games from PlayStation’s past that we’d love to replay on their current platforms, but this can only happen if the publishers agree to it.
It seems that Disney Interactive has joined the project, which is great. However, it would be even better if companies like Square Enix, Konami, and SEGA could also contribute some of their games to the program as well.
