Anthony Anderson’s Home Break-In Sparks Fears of Celebrity Targets

Anthony Anderson was the victim of a home invasion.

NBC Los Angeles was informed by authorities that an intrusion occurred at the residence of the actor from “Black-ish” in Encino on May 18, approximately at 11 p.m. The authorities have yet to clarify if any items were stolen during the incident, according to their statement.

According to law enforcement reports, it was confirmed that the damaged house belonged to Anderson, who has two adult children – Kyra (age 28) and Nathan (age 25) – with his former partner Alvina Stewart. However, they did not disclose if anyone was present at the residence during the burglary incident.

The ongoing examination regarding the burglary hasn’t led to any arrests as of now, according to what authorities shared with NBC Los Angeles.

TopMob News has contacted Anderson’s representative and the police for additional information, but we are still waiting for a response.

It’s not just Anderson who’s encountered this type of crime lately; athletes such as Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes, and Joe Burrow have also experienced home break-ins in 2024. In February, law enforcement apprehended seven Chilean nationals suspected of these burglaries, with the stolen property estimated to be over $2 million from the football players’ residences.

In the late 2000s, a gang known as the Bling Ring, which included individuals such as Rachel Lee, Nick Prugo, Alexis Neiers, Courtney Ames, and Diana Tamyo (all of whom were teenagers at the time), perpetrated a series of home burglaries in Hollywood. This group stole approximately $3 million worth of items and cash from the homes of celebrities like Rachel Bilson, Paris Hilton, Audrina Patridge, and others, between 2008 and 2009.

In a recent disclosure, Bilson recounted the discussion she held with Neiers and Tamyo following their appearance on her podcast last year (in 2022), approximately a decade since the robberies they were involved in.

In simpler terms, Bilson said, “I’m mature enough and have moved past it, you were young,” he clarified. “If you want to discuss it, I’m not going to dismiss it or make light of it, but I wasn’t going to scold them either. It was more like, ‘Go ahead, share your thoughts. That’s alright.’ You were children at the time, but what happened was incredibly messed up. There’s no sugarcoating that.

Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that Partridge discussed the consequences of her personal home burglary in a 2022 Netflix documentary as well.

In “The Real Bling Ring: Hollywood Heist,” she admitted that she had never felt as frightened as she did after discovering her house had been burglarized.
