ANTONBLAST for Switch delayed to unannounced date before end of 2024

As a seasoned gamer with a heart full of anticipation for new releases, I can empathize with Tony Grayson’s predicament. Delaying a game release is never an easy decision, especially when the community is buzzing with excitement. However, I must commend Summitsphere for prioritizing quality over schedule, a choice that will undoubtedly pay off in the long run.

The video game “ANTONBLAST” for Nintendo Switch, originally slated for a December 3 release, has been postponed by Summitsphere. A new date for the Switch version has not yet been announced, but it’s expected to be before the end of 2024. On the other hand, the PC version will still be released on Steam as planned, starting from December 3.

Here is the full message from Summitsphere on the Switch version’s delay:

Hello everyone,

We’re incredibly excited about launching the Nintendo Switch release alongside the Steam version on December 3rd, and we’ve been putting in every effort to ensure it’s exceptional. Unfortunately, today we realized that the version won’t be ready for that specific date.

The explanation is straightforward: To ensure optimal functionality and uphold both our stringent quality standards and those of Nintendo, we require additional time for this game version.

I understand that this delay might cause inconvenience, and I’d like to extend my sincere apologies for notifying you at such short notice.

Working with Nintendo has been a fantastic journey, and we’re united in our goal to deliver an outstanding gaming experience for Switch users. At present, we’re coordinating efforts to determine the optimal release date that suits everyone involved.

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that although I can’t disclose an exact launch date at this moment, we’re working tirelessly to bring our game to the Nintendo Switch by year-end. Rest assured, I promise to keep you all informed about our progress every step of the way. Stay tuned!

The Steam version of ANTONBLAST will launch as planned on December 3 at 12:00 p.m. ET.

For those Kickstarter supporters expecting a Nintendo Switch key, here’s an option for you: Feel free to change your preference to Steam whenever you want on your Fangamer survey, or just wait patiently until the Switch version becomes available.

Here’s my take: “I’m excited to announce that we’re hosting a live Twitch stream bright and early in the morning, leading up to the big launch! We’ll be fielding your questions and giving you an exclusive sneak peek at the game. I can hardly wait to see you there!

Thank you all for your patience and support… we couldn’t do this without you.

—Tony Grayson, on behalf of Summitsphere
