The cooperative multiplayer survival-shooter game, named ARC Raiders, is set to release on October 30 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store) for $39.99. This announcement comes from the creators themselves, Embark Studios. In this game, players engage in a mix of player-versus-player and player-versus-environment combat within an extraction setting.

In a recent press statement, I, as an ardent enthusiast, can’t help but share my excitement about the tech test for our upcoming game, ARC Raiders. This trial run feels like the perfect warm-up act for what promises to be a grand unveiling this autumn. The response from players so far suggests that they appreciate the dedication, hard work, and meticulous attention to detail we’ve invested in crafting this game.

During this final development phase, our focus has shifted to specific aspects we’re working hard to perfect. We have a list of bugs to fix, along with enhancing overall aesthetics and performance. Additionally, we’re fine-tuning the game balance and player economy, aiming to provide a more balanced and engaging experience for newcomers to this genre. Upon release, the game will be expanded with additional locations, adventures, and objectives for players to explore and achieve.

We’ve got some last details to work out before launch, including fixing any bugs, improving performance, and tweaking the game balance and economy. We also want to make it easier for newcomers to understand the game, and we plan on adding more content after release, such as new areas to explore and adventures to embark on.

In simple terms, “ARC Raiders” is a team-based third-person shooter game set in a cooperative environment. You and your band of adventurers, known as Raiders, join forces to fight off ARC – a merciless, automated enemy that arrives from space.

As part of the Raiders, a band of rebellious freedom fighters, you assume your role in defending our homeland from threats descending from space. Employing an improvised early warning network, you engage in battles to safeguard our territory against these hostile invaders. ARC may lack emotions and empathy, but it’s undeniable that it reacts swiftly to resistance. In fact, ARC escalates its response with increasing devastation when faced with opposition.
