Embark Studios’ ARC Raiders unveiled a stylish new trailer at the Summer Game Fest, but contrary to earlier speculations, it won’t be secretly released today. Instead, it is set to debut on October 30th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. You can watch the trailer below.
At The Game Awards back in 2021, ARC Raiders was unveiled as an adventure set in a post-apocalyptic landscape where sentient machines known as the Arc have nearly eradicated humanity. In this game, you assume the role of a raider, braving the surface to collect resources and battle against any threatening Arc entities to ensure your own survival.
Absolutely, other players managing their own raiders are also gathering resources, and you have the option to collaborate with them or backstab them for resources. This game follows a loop similar to that of a survival shooter. You can leave the battlefield whenever you want, but staying longer offers better rewards; however, remaining increases the risk of losing your loot if you get defeated.
Just announced, the technical trial for ARC Raiders garnered positive feedback. Keep an eye out for updates on further tests scheduled for upcoming months.
