Ariana Grande has verified that she plans to publish a companion piece, or extra track(s), for her seventh album titled “Eternal Sunshine” at some point in the future.
At the 2025 Golden Globes red carpet event on January 6th, when she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Glinda in Wicked, the performer-actress was queried if she has been contemplating creating fresh music.
She mentioned to Access Hollywood, “I haven’t been pondering it, but there’s a project I completed last year that’ll see the light of day eventually. It’s connected to Eternal Sunshine, so it does exist and will be released at some stage. However, I’m not currently working in the studio.
Last year in March, Grande unveiled a slightly upgraded version of her LP, featuring remixed and alternative takes on various songs that were part of the original album.
In November, Grande revealed her intention to take a break from producing pop music and instead channel her efforts towards the realm of musical theater, following her role in Wicked.
On an episode of the Las Culturistas podcast alongside her Wicked co-star Bowen Yang, Grande expressed something that might cause a startle among her fans and many others: “I’m going to say something that might make everyone jump out of their skin – it will shock my fans terribly, but I love them, and they will adapt, and we’ll continue our bond forever.
She added: “I’ll consistently produce music, perform on stage, and create pop tunes – I give you my word with a pinky swear. However, I don’t foresee maintaining the same pace as the last decade being part of my plans for the upcoming ten years.
Revisiting the aspect of myself rooted in musical theater, and cherishing my affinity for humor, brings a sense of healing. Discovering characters and scenarios where I can employ these facets of myself, creating miniature worlds for them, is incredibly rewarding – from crafting dialogue to singing tunes, and voicing various characters.
I’d be thrilled to take on whatever task seems sensible, suits my abilities best, or allows me to excel and respect the content. I believe it would suit me well. It’s stirring up some feelings in me.
