Ariana Grande is test driving a new character.
As a dedicated follower, I’m thrilled to share that I will be part of the stellar cast for the upcoming sequel of “Meet the Parents,” joining the legendary Robert De Niro and the hilarious Ben Stiller. This exciting news has been officially confirmed by TopMob News.
Information about her personality remains hidden from view. Yet, we can expect a family reunion in the style of the Focker-Byrnes clan, as Blythe Danner and Teri Polo will once again play their roles for the fourth movie. The new project will be directed by John Hamburg, known for co-writing the first three movies: 2000’s “Meet the Parents”, 2004’s “Meet the Fockers”, and 2010’s “Little Fockers”. In contrast to Jay Roach who directed the first two films, Hamburg takes over the directorial duties from him (Paul Weitz led the third movie).
Although the title and storyline of the sequel are yet to be revealed, enthusiasts can go ahead and jot down the release date in their calendars – the movie will hit theaters on November 26, 2026.
15 years almost have passed since the release of “Little Fockers” in December 2010, and during this time both Stiller, who plays Greg Focker, and De Niro, Jack Byrnes on screen, have worked on other projects. However, it seems that Stiller has expressed a desire to collaborate with his onscreen father-in-law once more.
The 59-year-old expressed that everyone seems eager for it to occur, as they said to Entertainment Tonight earlier this year. They also mentioned that someone pointed out a while ago that they were the same age as De Niro was when they worked together on the first one. However, any opportunity to collaborate with De Niro again is something they would gladly accept.
Regarding Grande, she lately disclosed her thoughts on returning to acting following a multi-year break dedicated to her musical career.
She expressed her feelings during an interview with Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang on the Las Culturistas podcast in November. She said, ‘I believe I’m in love with acting.’ She added, ‘I adore musical theater. I adore comedy, and it brings me solace to engage in that — discovering roles that let me use these aspects of myself.’
