Ariana Grande Using Her Real Name in Wicked Credits

Reflecting upon the fascinating lives of these celebrated figures, it’s intriguing to delve into their humble beginnings and the transformative journey that led them to stardom.

Ariana Grande has decided she’s not that girl.

Viewers may recognize her real name instead of her stage name in the closing credits of the forthcoming “Wicked” movie, which is a departure from her usual performance persona.

In the movie where she acts alongside Cynthia Erivo, Jonathan Bailey, Bowen Yang, and others, TopMob News reports that Ariana Grande-Butera is officially recognized by her complete name.

Ari’s real name is a fusion of her mother’s surname, Joan Grande, and her father’s, Edward Butera. Similarly, Ari’s half-brother Frankie Grande, who is the son of their mom Joan and Victor Marchione, has his dad’s last name professionally, but he was born as Frank James Michael Grande Marchione.

However, it’s not just Ariana’s name on the end credits that will stand out in this film; listeners might also recognize that her voice has been altered to a higher pitch for her portrayal of Glinda the Good Witch. This variation from her usual tone was a creative decision she had previously defended against critics earlier this year.

She shared in an interview with Vanity Fair last September that there are places where people might not be accustomed to the efforts required to modify one’s voice, be it through singing, adopting a new accent for a role, or creating a character voice for a project.

The 31-year-old stated, “When a man plays a part, it’s often praised. There are humorously critical remarks too, but they usually follow positive comments like, ‘He was completely immersed in the role.’ That’s just the nature of the profession.

But Ariana isn’t letting the trolls have the last word.

As a lifestyle expert, I can’t help but feel a deep sense of pride when it comes to my recent project. You see, I poured every ounce of my energy and passion into it, leaving nothing behind. That’s why, when faced with criticism, I chose to engage because I am so incredibly proud of the hard work I put in.

Ariana’s partner, Ethan Slater, who she met during the filming of “Wicked”, shares the same feelings about her dedication to the role.

He expressed to GQ in October, “I’m incredibly proud of Ari and her accomplishments on this project. She has invested so much of herself into it. I can’t wait to witness the next phase where everyone gets to appreciate the fantastic work she has created.
