Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon Crosses 3 Million Units Sold

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours logged into mech combat games, I can’t help but be thrilled by the news that Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon has reached over three million units sold. This series holds a special place in my gaming heart, and the latest installment has not disappointed.

Approximately three million copies of “Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon,” the latest entry in FromSoftware’s mech combat series, have been sold since its release in August 2023. Previously, only a report from voice actor Ryo Shimokawa mentioned sales of around 2.8 million units up until October 2023.

In the new installation of the Armored Core series, titled “Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon,” the story centers around the pilot, Augmented Human C4-621, who begins his journey on Rubicon 3 in search of employment. Amidst this fresh start, there’s a renewed struggle between different corporations and factions over the recently discovered Coral, an enigmatic resource that resurfaced following a major catastrophe on the planet decades ago.

With the call sign of Raven, 621 finishes diverse assignments as they delve deeper into the mysteries surrounding Coral and the motives of other involved factions. This installment retains the rich customization options and player-versus-player (PvP) battles from past titles, while introducing quicker combat sequences and innovative mechanics such as incapacitating and shattering adversaries.

In addition, this game offers a New Game Plus mode with fresh storylines to explore. For a comprehensive analysis, read our review. “Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon” can be purchased for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC.

I’m thrilled to be part of the Armored Core community, where we’ve collectively purchased over 3 million units of VI: Fires of Rubicon! A heartfelt thank you to every Ravens pilot, newcomers and veterans alike, for daring to face the inferno and soaring on rented wings with us.
