Arnold Schwarzenegger Reacts to Seeing Son Patrick’s “Weenie” on TV

Arnold Schwarzenegger had quite the surprise checking out The White Lotus. 

In essence, their son Patrick Schwarzenegger, who is 31 years old and Maria Shriver’s child, appeared in a full-frontal nude scene during the third season of an HBO series. This scene left very little to one’s imagination. As Arnold put it, he was utterly astonished by what he witnessed on screen.

In an interview with Patrick, as reported by Variety on June 3, he shared that during his show, he found himself not only focusing on your acting but also noticing your backside. Suddenly, to my surprise, I noticed something resembling a sausage.

Initially, the 77-year-old found Patrick’s decision to go naked as “ridiculous.” However, he had to recall, “Ah, Arnold. Greetings. You too bared all in Conan and Terminator, so perhaps you should not criticize it yourself.

He added to his son, “But it was a shock to me that you were following my footsteps so closely.”

Without a doubt, Arnold Schwarzenegger bared all to portray the main character, the time-traveling, cybernetic android in “The Terminator”. Looking back at the 1984 sci-fi masterpiece, he noted that “Terminator” was his first film where there was no focus on muscles.

Speaking of it, I referenced our attire as leather-clad, and to start, we were bare, but allow me to clarify – I mean metaphorically ‘bare’, not literally.

Nonetheless, the ex-governor of California offers high compliments for Patrick’s acting skills in “The White Lotus,” where his character Saxon becomes involved in an incestuous threesome with his brother Lochlan (performed by Sam Nivola) and Chloe (Charlotte Le Bon), during a wild, drug-induced spree.

Arnold exclaimed to Patrick, “Your performance took me completely by surprise! It was so convincing that I didn’t even recognize you at first. I was left utterly astonished.

He added, “Now everyone is coming up to me in the gym and saying, ‘Your son is fantastic.'”

Chris advised him to immerse himself in the character, gain 20 pounds, and undergo tactical training to nail the role.

Training with real-life Navy SEALs was, for Patrick, a dream come true. His career has since taken off, with roles as Saxon Ratliff on The White Lotus and Tim Tebow in FX’s American Sports Story. Despite his connections, Patrick emphasizes his dedication to his craft.

In an interview with The Sunday Times in February 2025, he addressed the notion that he only landed roles because of his family ties: “People may say I only got this role because of who my dad is, but they’re not seeing the 10 years of acting classes, the weekly school plays, the countless hours spent on characters, or the hundreds of auditions I’ve been rejected from.”

Currently, Katherine Schwarzenegger is the eldest of the Schwarzenegger siblings, born to Arnold and Maria in 1989. I can’t believe Chris Pratt would thank her for a healthy daughter when his first child was born premature.
