As The Studio Is Renewed For Season 2, I Love What The EP Told Me Was Her ‘Favorite Thing’ For Kathryn Hahn To Say On The Apple TV+ Show

As a devoted fan of Hollywood-centric comedies, I’ve been eagerly following Apple TV+’s exclusive series The Studio. Exciting news! The Seth Rogen-led production, which made its debut in March 2025, has been greenlit for another season! So brace yourself for more antics as Rogen’s character, Matt Remick, navigates the ups and downs of running Continental Studios. Hearing about The Studio‘s second season fills me with the same anticipation I felt when one of the executive producers shared her favorite line that Kathryn Hahn delivered on set.

Recently, I enjoyed a conversation with Frida Perez and Peter Huyck, two creators of The Studio alongside Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and Alex Gregory. They shared insights about why Seth Rogen often tumbles on the series, as well as their decision to put certain episodes on hold. Furthermore, Perez delved into the creative process behind the outrageous dialogue frequently spoken by Maya Mason, a character portrayed by Hahn. In her own words:

That was truly enjoyable! I recall the moment we touched down on her object, it was amusing to ponder, ‘What will she say next?’ We jotted down an extensive list of online slang phrases that we rarely use in real life but often hear among young folks. Our thoughts were, ‘She has to incorporate all these expressions.’ My personal favorite suggestion was when she uses the phrase ‘Marty Scorsese on God.’ I find ‘on God’ quite hilarious, and I simply picked it up from my excessive browsing online.

More to come…
