Ashley Tisdale’s daughter Jupiter has some fabulous requests.
It turns out that the 4-year-old has been taught by an excellent teacher: she’s learned from her mom’s beloved character, Sharpay Evans, on High School Musical. The singer of “Be Good To Me” revealed that Jupiter, whom she shares with husband Christopher French, can’t get enough of the Disney movie after watching her cousin perform her mom’s old role in a play.
In a TikTok video posted on May 13th, Ashley, aged 39, stated that in the past, when she watched the original movie, she didn’t hold much interest in it. However, after witnessing her niece perform in the play, Ashley has undergone a transformation. Now, she finds herself compelled to watch all three films and can’t get enough of the music. During their walks together, she even requests that Ashley plays it.
As an ardent enthusiast, I can’t help but confess my undying affection for “High School Musical 2.” My admiration runs so deep that it transcends mere fandom – it’s more like a personal connection. My heart skips a beat every time I hear Jupiter’s favorite song, the enchanting duet between Sharpay and her brother Ryan Evans (performed by Lucas Gabriel), titled “HUMUHUMUNUKUNUKUAPUA’A.” While Ashley may not share my enthusiasm for this Tiki-inspired anthem, it has a unique place in my musical heart.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I find myself in an amusing predicament: that catchy tune is driving me up the wall, playing on repeat. I jest, of course, but it’s a struggle. And then there’s this unexpected public outburst, “I’m Sharpay’s baby!” – a phrase I never thought I’d hear outside a musical. Honestly, I can barely contain myself!
Jupiter’s affection for musical films doesn’t just extend to herself; her daughter, who is 11 months old and named Emerson, shares this love. Ashley, Emerson’s mom, shared that they often sing “We’re All in This Together” while shopping together. While these moments can sometimes make Jupiter feel a bit embarrassed, she also finds them heartwarming.
She went on to say, ‘This is so delightful,’ but after a solid week of replaying the music, she felt, ‘Alright…we’ve had enough. No need to listen to it again.’
As a devoted fan, my latest reaction to High School Musical is still as amusing as when I first watched it over a year ago – back then, I couldn’t help but think Troy Bolton (the character brilliantly played by Zac Efron) might just be my long-lost father. The hilarity never fades!
Ashley reminisced during the January 15th episode of the Breaking Beauty podcast that her little girl exclaimed, “Daddy!” but she responded with a firm “No, no, no,”. She then disclosed what led her daughter to think she was related to Zac Efron, simply because they both had dark hair.

Just three months later, Hudgens unveiled her pregnancy on the 2024 Oscars red carpet by showcasing her baby bump. She and her husband welcomed their child that summer.
