It feels like just yesterday when Koro-sensei burst onto our screens and turned our world upside down with his unique teaching methods and unparalleled charisma. The thought of returning to Kunugigaoka Junior High School, even if it’s just virtually, is an opportunity I wouldn’t want to miss for the world!
Gathering for school reunions is a frequent method people use to mark the completion of different educational stages. If you’re a fan of “Assassination Classroom,” it’s now time to go back to Kunugigaoka Junior High School to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the show and reminisce about the transformative teachings from one of anime’s greatest teachers, Koro-sensei.
On January 9, 2025, Fuji TV is starting a three-part anniversary event to honor the anime’s upcoming anniversary. As part of this, they’re going to reopen the “Koro-sensei Shrine,” which was initially an exhibition during the series’ run from January 2015 to July 2016. The main attraction will be a statue of Koro-sensei placed on the first floor of Fuji TV’s headquarters in Odaiba. Additionally, standees of other characters will also be displayed to emphasize the importance of this occasion.
Assassination Classroom Creator Celebrates 10th Anniversary
Starting in April, the initial phase of a three-part initiative will involve re-airing the original 47 episodes of the anime on Fuji TV and other platforms. Further details about the remaining two parts of this project will be shared later, leaving fans eagerly anticipating potential additional content or festivities for their cherished series. To kick off the excitement, Fuji TV and Yusei Matsui, the show’s creator, have released a fresh commemorative artwork featuring the characters and an exclusive anniversary logo.
Yusei Matsui has made significant contributions in the world of manga and anime, with his latest creation being “Elusive Samurai“. Instead of waiting for him to retire or slow down, it’s an excellent time to acknowledge his past achievements, allowing fans to shower him with praise and fully appreciate his talent. This approach differs from the ongoing attempts to ban “Assassination Classroom” in schools across the U.S. Instead, we’re choosing to highlight his successes now.

Matsui commented, “Much like our school days, it feels as though we just graduated from Assassination Classroom, but here we are celebrating its 10th anniversary. Fortunately, there’s plenty to celebrate for this milestone! Why not utilize this occasion and organize a reunion of the assassination class, either in person or online through social media?

But their ordinary lives take an extraordinary turn when a peculiar, tentacled creature from space obliterates 70% of the moon and threatens to do the same to Earth within a year. Strangely, this creature offers to spend his remaining time teaching them instead! Intriguingly, he proposes that if they can assassinate him during this period, they will be rewarded with immense wealth and will save the world in the process.
