For a while now, there’s been chatter about a potential remake of “Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag”. It seems Ubisoft could be nearing an official reveal, hinted by Insider Gaming who spotted artists from Pure Arts suggesting during a live broadcast that “something is brewing with Edward”.

To all fans of Assassin’s Creed, it’s worth noting that there seems to be some news concerning Edward [Keyway], mentioned a host when asked about the absence of a figure based on Black Flag’s protagonist, Edward Kenway. However, this revelation was met with doubt from another host who inquired, “Has that been officially announced?

The initial artist expressed confidence, stating, “Yes, I believe it’s true. I recall reading whispers about it. Absolutely, I found an article about it.” Later, the artist hinted at upcoming changes regarding Edward, implying that their 1/8th scale PVC statue would mirror these changes accordingly.

2023 saw whispers about a potential reboot of the classic game, Black Flag. It was suggested that work on this project had already begun in its initial stages. More recent speculation points to the title’s working name being ‘Obsidian‘, and hints that it’s an extensive remake being crafted using Ubisoft’s very own Anvil engine.
