Two weeks have passed since the launch of “Assassin’s Creed Shadows,” and it’s already proving to be a hit for Ubisoft, boasting over three million players. Yet, another “Assassin’s Creed” project titled “Invictus” appears to be on schedule for release this year as well.
According to Tom Henderson from Insider Gaming on Twitter, he has stated that the anticipated multiplayer game’s launch is expected this year. However, it’s important to note that plans can sometimes change at Ubisoft, especially given their recent decision to close down live-service projects such as XDefiant.
Introduced in September 2022, “Assassin’s Creed Invictus” is a multiplayer game that may be free to play and could involve characters from different eras interacting with each other. Teams who have worked on “Rainbow Six Siege” and “For Honor” are behind the project. Unlike previous installments, Ubisoft intends for this multiplayer aspect to be more accessible and appealing to a wider audience, as suggested by Vice Executive Producer Marc-Alexis Côté.
Should be this year
