Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Reportedly Has Over 40 Million Players

As a die-hard Assassin’s Creed fan, I must say that the latest release, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, has made an explosive entrance with more than 2 million players within its first two days. However, it seems like nothing short of extraordinary could dethrone 2018’s Assassin’s Creed Odyssey from its lofty position in the series.

According to Insider Gaming’s findings, the critically acclaimed 2018 open-world action RPG, “Assassin’s Creed Odyssey,” has amassed more individual players than any other game in the Assassin’s Creed series, with over 40 million unique gamers to date. Although 2020’s “Valhalla” holds the record for the biggest launch for both the series and Ubisoft, it is reported that “Odyssey” boasts a larger player base throughout its lifetime compared to any other Assassin’s Creed game.

The specific impact on the game’s sales remains uncertain, but considering Odyssey’s positive reputation since its release seven years back, it’s not too unexpected that it boasts such a large player base.

In case you were wondering, “Assassin’s Creed Odyssey” can be played on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or your personal computer. Feel free to check out our review of this game by clicking here.
