Assassin’s Creed Shadows Overtakes Odyssey’s Peak Steam Concurrent User Count

Following its debut on Thursday, “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” saw a rapid start on Steam with more than 41,000 simultaneous players, surpassing all other Assassin’s Creed games except for 2018’s “Odyssey”. Over the weekend, as expected, it took the top spot in the series.

According to SteamDB, the maximum number of players simultaneously enjoying “Assassin’s Creed Shadow” on Steam is currently 64,825. This figure surpasses all previous Assassin’s Creed games on this platform. Given that it’s Ubisoft’s first simultaneous launch on Steam since 2019, it’s off to a strong start, attracting substantial player numbers from the get-go.

It’s been reported that “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” has taken the second-largest spot among all Ubisoft launches, with only “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla” ahead of it. Ubisoft revealed that the game reached over 2 million players within its first two days on release.

In our appraisal of “Shadows”, we gave it a 9/10 rating, noting that “Assassin’s Creed” yet again meets the challenge with “Assassin’s Creed Shadows”. This masterfully designed edition skillfully combines the strong points of both classic and modern styles in the “Assassin’s Creed” series to produce one of the finest experiences this renowned franchise has ever offered.
