Assassin’s Creed Shadows Peaks at Over 41,000 Concurrent Steam Players on Launch Day

The much-anticipated Assassin’s Creed Shadows has at last brought the Assassin’s Creed adventure set in feudal Japan that gamers have yearned for over the years. Unsurprisingly, this expansive open-world game is drawing a significant number of players.

According to SteamDB, on its first worldwide release day, “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” reached a maximum of 41,412 players on Steam. This number surpasses the all-time highs for both “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla” (15,679) and “Mirage” (7,870). Notably, unlike those two games, “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” was made available on Steam from its very first day. Additionally, it comes with compatibility for the Steam Deck right off the bat.

Currently, the peak of Shadows is about on par with Assassin’s Creed Origins (41,551), but it lags significantly behind Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s peak (62,069). However, given that the weekend is approaching, we can expect Shadows to keep rising in popularity, as is often the case with newly released games.

As a gamer, I can’t help but boast about the fact that I joined over a million other enthusiasts who dived into the world of Assassin’s Creed Shadows within just 24 hours of its release! This epic adventure is now playable on the mighty PS5, the powerful Xbox Series X/S, and on PCs. If you’re curious about this masterpiece, don’t miss out on our glowing review right here, where we bestowed it with a 9/10 rating.
