As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that the latest news about Assassin’s Creed Shadows has me both excited and a tad skeptical. Delaying a game by three months is always a bit disheartening, but if it means we get a co-op mode – codenamed LEAGUE – then I’m all for it!
Ubisoft has pushed back the release of “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” by three months, with the game now scheduled to come out in February of next year. Additionally, it’s being reported by Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson that Ubisoft is also developing a cooperative play mode for this upcoming title.
According to Henderson’s report, the LEAGUE co-op feature in the game wasn’t introduced as a result of the delay mentioned earlier; instead, it appears that this mode has been under development “prior” to the delay. While it’s likely that both characters, Naoe and Yasuke, can be played simultaneously, specific details about what the co-op mode will involve are currently not clear.
Previously this year, it appeared that Ubisoft hinted at the return of a cooperative mode for Assassin’s Creed Shadows. At present, they are also developing an independent multiplayer Assassin’s Creed game known as Invictus, which goes by that code name.
On February 14, 2025, the game titled “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” is scheduled to release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and personal computers. Notably, it will be accessible for PC users via Steam on its first day of release as well.
