Excitedly following up on my recent breakdown of the tech specs for the PC edition of “Assassin’s Creed Shadows”, Ubisoft has now shared comparable insights regarding the next-gen console versions (PS5 and Xbox Series X) of this highly anticipated open world action RPG.
On Ubisoft’s website, technology director Pierre F disclosed that the upcoming game “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” will offer a performance mode on PS5 and Xbox Series X, allowing it to run smoothly at 60 frames per second (FPS) and an upscaled 2160p resolution.
The developer hasn’t discussed other graphic settings yet, and it’s unclear what resolution and frame rate the game might aim for when running on the less powerful hardware of Xbox Series S. However, Pierre F hinted that details about the available modes on consoles will be revealed prior to the game’s launch, so we should find out more soon.
The action-adventure game titled “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” is set to be released on March 20 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms. As per Ubisoft’s report, the pre-orders for this game have been showing strong sales figures before its launch, which aligns with the success of “Odyssey,” the series’ second best-selling title to date.
