Initially, it seemed like “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” might not run on a Steam Deck due to its high PC requirements. As predicted in February, Ubisoft announced that the game wouldn’t support the device upon launch. However, they have since reversed their decision and confirmed that the game is indeed compatible with the Steam Deck.
On Twitter, Ubisoft has confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Shadows will indeed be compatible with the Steam Deck at its launch later this month. Although they are still waiting for Valve’s classification level, meaning it may or may not receive the Steam Deck Verified label, what is known is that you’ll be able to play the game on the portable device, which brings some positive news.
“More info to come soon,” Ubisoft’s tweet said.
For computers as well, the open-world action RPG offers versatile options such as unlimited frame rates, ultrawide screen resolution, all Frame Rate Generation technology, dynamic resolution adjustment, and many more exciting features. Learn more about these details by clicking here.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows launches on March 20 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
