As a gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled about the year-one post-launch plan unveiled by Ubisoft for Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This roadmap gave us a sneak peek into the future of our beloved Assassin’s Creed game. The usual suspects like DLC, story missions, and quality-of-life upgrades were expected, but what truly caught my attention was the announcement of collaborations. These collaborations were initially shrouded in mystery, but Ubisoft has finally dished out some details!
The first collaboration they revealed is between Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Dead by Daylight. I must admit, this crossover took me by surprise! Ubisoft has hinted at the arrival of horror elements from Dead by Daylight within our Assassin’s Creed universe. They even shared the date – May 27th – which aligns perfectly with the roadmap that places the first special collaboration towards the end of May. I can hardly wait to see how these two games merge!

Although details are scarce, the rich cast of original characters in “Dead by Daylight” offers exciting possibilities, such as incorporating Killers like The Spirit or The Oni, whose Japanese heritage could add an intriguing twist to this collaboration.

As a devoted gamer, I’m excitedly waiting to see if “Dead by Daylight” will join in on the collaboration fun too. This asymmetrical horror game isn’t new to collaborations, as they often come in the form of complete DLC Chapters or just cosmetic crossovers that spice up our characters and environments.
For “Assassin’s Creed Shadows,” Ubisoft has several collaboration projects in the works. One of these collaborations is scheduled for May’s end, while the rest don’t have specific release dates yet, only that they will be out within the year according to Ubisoft. Fans are intrigued by the possibility that Ubisoft might incorporate content from other games such as Splinter Cell, but the announcement of a collaboration with “Dead by Daylight” hints at more potential partnerships.
In other words, “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” has rolled out its first post-release content upgrade in the form of The Works of Luis Frois story mission pack. Furthermore, fans should anticipate an enhancement to the parkour system arriving in late May. This is merely a starting point for the latest installment of Assassin’s Creed, with much more on the horizon as Ubisoft continues to develop according to their roadmap.
