Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is Now Playable in 4K/60 FPS on Xbox Series X, PS5, and PS5 Pro

As a long-time Assassin’s Creed fan, my heart skipped a beat when I heard that Syndicate is finally getting an upgrade for the new generation consoles! Remembering the thrill of playing it back in 2015 on my trusty PS4, I can only imagine how much smoother and breathtaking it will be now running at 60 FPS in 4K. And let’s not forget about the Xbox Series S players – 1080p/60 FPS is still a sweet deal!

Following the recent announcement, “Assassin’s Creed Syndicate” has now been confirmed to be compatible with Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and even the upgraded PS5 Pro. For a glimpse of its performance, as well as the Frye twins stirring up some trouble, you can watch the trailer below:

Released on Xbox One, PS4, and PC in October 2015, Syndicate initially operated at 30 frames per second (FPS) on consoles. However, it now runs at a smoother 60 FPS in 4K resolution on Xbox Series X, PS5, and PS5 Pro. Unfortunately, players on Xbox Series S can only enjoy it at 1080p/60 FPS. This upgrade is complimentary, making it an excellent opportunity for fans to revisit one of the lesser-known gems in the series.

Moving forward, Ubisoft is developing “Assassin’s Creed Shadows,” scheduled to release on February 14th, 2025. This game will be available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. The open-world action RPG is set in 16th-century Japan and has been postponed to allow for extra refinement. Previously offering a Season Pass and early access, these features have been removed, leading to a reduced price for the Collector’s Edition. Additionally, “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” will debut simultaneously on Steam.
