Assassin’s Creed’s Upcoming Animus Hub Won’t Have a Paid Battle Pass or Subscription

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that Ubisoft’s recent announcement about the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Infinity has stirred a mix of excitement and curiosity within me. After years of investing time and money into this beloved franchise, the idea of a central hub platform is both intriguing and daunting.

For some time now, there’s been talk about the central hub platform for “Assassin’s Creed,” called “Assassin’s Creed Infinity.” Ubisoft hasn’t shared much information officially, but they’ve provided some explanations after recent leaks and speculations about what players might anticipate.

As a die-hard Assassin’s Creed fan, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news! Contrary to earlier speculations, the developers have confirmed that the upcoming platform, known as the Animus Hub (apparently its official name), won’t require any paid subscriptions or battle passes. That’s right, all the rewards you earn within the hub will be absolutely free! Moreover, all regular content and missions will be accessible to us players at no extra cost. This means more action, more adventure, and more Assassin’s Creed without digging deeper into our wallets!

There are still a number of questions that remain unanswered regarding the Animus Hub and its connection to the main storyline of the Assassin’s Creed series, as well as how it will be monetized. However, Ubisoft has stated that they will release more information about this closer to the launch of Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows launches on February 14 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
